Very tight quarters - you better enjoy being close to your neighbors. And, if your neighbor leaves their monstrous dog changed up outside to bark and yap, you better enjoy it, because there doesn't appear to be any policing. Worst issue was being charged $4.29 for propane when Camping World down the road had it for $2.49.

Staff are good but on entering the camping areas you pass through rows of old mobile homes and travel trailers with roof overs and various hand painted colours some over the tail lights. Camping area is near the beach and very tight. Grass is minimal and not tried near picnic tables or the shelters posts over each table. Some shelters... More

This campground isn't for those who want seclusion in nature, but if you want a totally cool, fascinating collection of mobile and park homes that have been made into permanent, unique vacation spots by the owners, you'll love Apache. The camper and RV spaces are mixed in with these homes, and it feels like a quirky neighborhood. People were very... More

We brought our new to us motor home with our family for Labor Day weekend. This place has everything you could imagine you need for camping comfort. My only complaint was they had us stuffed in the camping sites like sardines! They're two pools, multiple bathhouses, a very long fishing pier, casual restaurant on site and golf cart rentals. You... The beach is gorgeous, the pier is fun, the swimming pool is very nice and clean. The RV sites are easy enough to get in and out of, but they sure pack them in. Tons of people, tons of golf carts, tons of families with kids. Not my idea of ideal camping, but that is just me. We had nice... More

We have been coming to this section of Myrtle Beach for years. One of the things we have enjoyed doing is breakfast at Croakers at the Apache Pier. Today we decided to drive instead of walk up as we usually do. Upon coming into the Apache Campground we were told there is a $5 packing fee. I never had to... More

We have a 43 ft RV and we stayed for 2 weeks. The staff was kind and the campsite was clean for being located right on the beach! Our pad was located 3 spots from the beach and the pier. All 3 times we ate at the restaurant on the pier we had good food and the prices weren't crazy.... More

We're longtime visitors at Apache Campground, having stayed the week of July 4 for at least the past 15 years. This year our visit has been like no other. There are problems with theft ... Golf carts have been stolen this week, items stolen out of coolers, off of porches. We've always experienced a "family" type atmosphere, friendly folks who... More

For the pros I have to say it is great for average fishermen because the pier is on premises. The cons, well like all the beach campgrounds they pack you in like sardines. Front to back and side to side. This year we were surrounded by huge campers that were so big they spilled over into others campsites and hanging... More

A friend of ours has a permanent site there. After checking out the other MB campgrounds we decided to store our camper at Apache. There are only one level mobile homes at Apache so there is no condo feel. I did not feel claustrophobic as you can see the sky easily! The staff could not be nicer or more helpful.... More
