We actually hate to tell you how much we liked the Lookaway because right now it is a hidden gem. It is a lovely Inn - almost a B&B but w/out the living in someones house part. Gorgeous rooms- beautifully decorated, nice grounds and slammin' view from the Lookaway house porch. Sammy - who we dubbed " the concierge" -...

The inn was lovely. The rooms are big and very clean. (If a room is clean, I am a happy customer!) Ours had a little refrigerator which was nice. The inn had a tiny garden you could stroll in and a nice courtyard area for sitting and relaxing. There is apparently a strict noise ordinance, so don't expect to be outside...

We stayed here during the final 2 days of our 10 day journey through GA & SC. The main building is gorgeous and well kept. The guest rooms were clean and quiet. We had an opportunity to speak with the host / Innkeeper several times and found him to be pleasant and attentive. We also had the opportunity to meet...

The main house is orginal and normally not used for guests. Behind the main house are the accomodations beautifully in character with the main house and area. Across the street is the Rosemary Inn which does offer full breakfast but at substantially higher price. Lookaway is comfortable, large rooms, attractive antique style furniture. Private verandas. Garden full of several varieties...

My husband & I stayed here for an event we had to attend for his father. It is absolutely beautiful! All of the rooms are unique and equally delightful. The interior of the main house is lovely. The courtyard was enchanting, well manicured with beautiful flowers - even though it is only moments from restuarants and shopping. The Inn Keeper,...

Lookaway Inn is not a Bed and Breakfast. It IS, however, a very nice "boutique hotel" with coffee, pastry, and some fresh fruit. The room was lovely, with a private veranda, and the bed was very comfortable. Sammy, the manager, was very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Recommended.

My husband & I stayed here as our valentines weekend getaway and loved it! We stayed in a room off the courtyard of Lookaway Inn, which the room had a big veranda, high ceilings, wood floors, and a huge bathroom. The room had architecture that matched the main Lookaway house. We would definitely stay here again!

First, let me say that Lookaway Inn is not a B & B in the true sense of the words. However, do not let this dissaude you from considering it as a great place to stay. They do not offer breakfast on site and there are no rooms yet available in the mansion. We stayed at Lookaway this past weekend....

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are stunning, the location out-standing and the hospitality of our host, Sammy O´Cain, was extraordinary. He made us feel like at home. We warmly recommend this place and would definitely return.
