Very disappointed in this place .Sent to two rooms both occupied .No apology no nothing .We really needed this .the highlight of our stay was a very nice man who gave us a ride to the office for the third time because the room keys they gave us someone was stayin there already .Never got to go to water park closed at 6 told pools close at 6 that was incorrect !!!!!!
We encountered several problems at check in. We had booked a girls weekend (my daughter, myself and my mother). We booked for an oceanfront studio in sandcastle building. At check in they assigned us the surf building with a partial ocean view from behind a wading pool. Entering there were no security chains or trash cans despite the nice beds + décor (this was probably the best decorated room!). They reassigned us three rooms down to a room that was still dirty. it smelled, had trash and even liquor bottles on the floor still! i drove back over to registration as it is in a different building and no one would answer the phone (tried calling 15min). The third room gave me a view of a building beside me. I've been trying to get a resolution for over a week now (partial refund because the price difference in rooms!). The waterpark was great for my 5year old so there is that. Just be cautious and read reviews prior to booking.…
I would leave zero stars if I could! Toilet coming out of the floor. Shower knobs falling off. Stove is completely rusted. Trim full of dirt, mold and grime. Cabinet facing falling off. Fridge rusted. Floors sticky and gross . sheets don’t fit the beds. The entire building smells like piss. Pools were eh. Water was ice cold or steaming hot no in between. 1 security guard was super nice but the rest were rude. DO NOT STAY AT SEA MIST! the building needs boarded up!
-5 worst place I’ve ever stayed. Last minute trip with our pet… put us in a room that you had to walk around paint buckets and remodeling repair stuff making a tripping hazard to get to our room. Go in the room only to smell like it was freshly vacated by three large ungroomed elephants. Switched on the tv only to find out it doesn’t work. Call front desk only to be hung up on by the clerk. That’s SeaMist for taking our money and spoiling our day!
Loved bringing family here in the past. Looks so different now. Lots of rundown buildings. First room, tv didn’t work and no trash can. 2nd room smelled like someone had just smoked in it. 3rd room, you could smell the freshness. Manageable. I was just happy for the beach view. Please check rooms before you just send people to them. Security very helpful and friendly.
We came to Sea Mist to get away and it proved to be perfect. The bed was very comfortable and we were able to cook in our room, with a stove that cooked accurately, a full size fridge, and sink. Enough kitchen service for four and we were two. Will return with enthusiasm.
The pictures are of the laundry room machines are broken the place is filthy mold as you can see in the pictures. I know some of the buildings are owned by The Resort itself and some are owned by private owners. The resort rooms are horrible they are terribly cleaned there's even rats in the building. Poorly maintained I understand when you live by the ocean you're going to have bugs but the Cockroaches are out of hand. The carpets in the hallways are filthy the amenities are terrible pool bottoms have paint coming off hot tubs are cold. Your best bet is to try to find a condo that is owned by a private owner and hope he or she maintains it. Great location great security. Try to look for vacation rental by owner you will be much happier
Week long trips with wife and then year old son in August '89, '90, and '91 were what lifetime family memories are intended to be. Spotlessly clean room and grounds. Activity time mornings for preschoolers at indoor facility beside of the sparkling clean an operating lazy river. Seeing current photos and reading reviews is so sad that owners/management teams allowed the property to fall into this level of disrepair.
Filthy Filthy Filthy!!!! Filthy beds, room, and everything around. No coffee in the room, not working microwave one out of service ice machine in 11 story Hotel. Third World one star place. Do not stay here!
The staff was very nice and helpful but this hotel is disgusting. Half the outlets in our room didn’t work, the ice trays were cracked, there were stains on the towels, the lobby smells like mildew, and every square inch of our room was outdated. I’ll stick to North Myrtle.
