Some of the ingredients that make us a destination and not just a resort include an on-site 8 AMF lane bowling alley, recreation center with video arcade game room, pool tables, foosball and air hockey, 10 pool attractions including outdoor and indoor pools, water park, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, kiddie pools, lazy river, children's activity center, his/her saunas, live entertainment daily on the pool deck (in-season) and karaoke nightly (in-season), family magic show (in-season), glow bowling, fitness center, General Store & Gift Shop and spacious meeting/banquet facilities. It's no wonder that families for over 20 years have found Coral Beach Resort & Suites the most fun place to stay.

Coral Beach Resort & Suites offers a vibrant atmosphere with live music that appeals to families, although the room decor could benefit from modernization. While the service garners compliments for its professionalism, some guests have faced slow check-ins. Opinions on value are split, with concerns about additional fees juxtaposed against commendations for pricing. The resort maintains a high standard of cleanliness, but some areas require more attention.
Its beachfront location is a highlight, yet there are reservations about the neighborhood. Amenities like pools and a bowling alley add to the appeal, despite occasional access issues. Rooms elicit mixed feedback, with positive notes on views and amenities against critiques of datedness and mustiness.

Detailed Reviews
The pros: We scored a great off-season deal at Coral Beach Resort which included breakfast for two daily and one game of bowling daily. We had an ocean front room on the 10th floor. It took a minute for the water to get heat up but that was early in the morning and we didn’t have any issues with it after that. The kitchen in our room was equipped with beautiful new pots and pans and had all of the dishes we needed. I’m picky about my coffee so I brought my own coffee and coffee filters which fit perfectly in their 5 cup coffeemaker. I ran out on our last day so I used two of their coffee packets and doubled it up in their coffeemaker and it was delicious! The breakfast bar was AMAZING with fresh fruits, a waffle bar, bacon & sausages, home fried potatoes, French toast, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, fresh eggs, cereals, and more!! The room was clean and the beds were made very nicely. Everyone who worked at the Resort was so nice and friendly.
The cons: the kitchen cupboard in our room had a slight smell, maybe from putting away wet dishes. The room came with a dish strainer so maybe some customers don’t use it.
The beds were beautifully made but could be a little more comfy. The pillows were nice but the blanket and sheet are very thin so bring an extra blanket if you like a little more fluff.
The indoor pool could be cleaner. It was heated nicely but the water is murky and our skin felt itchy after about 30 minutes of swimming.
All in all, we’ll be back again next year.

We just got back from a week at Coral Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach. We have been to this area several times in the past, but this was our first time at Coral Beach.
PROS:
The staff were very friendly and did a great job in regards to Covid-19, plastic barriers in the check in area, signs promoting social distancing and hand sanitizer was readily available.
Parking was plentiful. There is a lot in front or a garage below the resort.
The lobby and most of the common areas were very clean and well maintained.
CONS:
We booked a family suite, the room had a bedroom with 2 queen beds, there was a small kitchen and a living room with a Murphy bed and sitting area. The room was clean, but the walls are paper thin. We could hear everything going on outside of our room. At one point we could hear someone next door getting an email/Text alert on their phone. The sliding glass door to the balcony needed to be replaced, the lock basically didn’t work. The A/C in the bedroom didn’t work great. The kitchen lacked some basic items. No measuring cup, a cutting board, but no knife, only a butter knife.
The bowling alley/arcade, again staff did a great job cleaning, but the bowling was expensive, $50 for 4 for 1 hour. Another resort in the area with a bowling alley offers 1 free game/day to guests, but apparently not at Coral Beach.
Overall: Just OK, we paid more to stay here because we thought it would be nicer than some of the resorts in the area and it simply wasn’t. To be clear, we were not expecting 5 star accommodations, but we were hoping for better than what we received.

My wife and I recently stayed 4 nights. We will probably not be back and will definitely tell our friends it was not as advertised. At check in after long drive, hot day , and confusion as to what the choices were. We ended up in room 652. We were never explained about paying for everything with CCard no CASH! Also never told to put card on file, never offered upgrades, or adding a night to include breakfast. The room has a broken sink, sloping toilet, bent shower rod with rotten shower curtain. There is an extension cord under the carpet. NOT really safe for your $$$$$$ building.
Covid is becoming an excuse for everything. Paying more than $900.00 for 4 nights is bad enough. When we were expected to take care of dirty linens and trash you went to far. I can make my bed at home, buy every meal, tip what I chose, Buy a drink with cash, at the very least the general store should not charge $2 FOR A $1 CANDY BAR.

Stayed for 3 nights. Overall decent place only complaint is we made reservations 3 months in advance and they put us on the 1st floor, literally a pool view room. Room service would leave towels and necessities in a bag on your doorknob. Very clean room and friendly staff.

Toilet overflowed, thank God it wasn’t number 2. They did not move us. Room unusable for a day. Clothes got sopping wet with toilet water. I had to fight to make them pay for the laundry. So two hours of my vacation wasted in a laundry mat. Smell of mold now in room 714. And they paid me with, wait for it, a roll of quarters!
The dishwasher in room came with the wrong type of detergent, when I asked for the right one, they gave me the same thing. So I had to buy my own soap for the dishwasher (in hindsight I should have just left the dishes I washed). Also note that not all rooms have a dishwasher.
Lots of trashy people who smoke Pot and cigarettes. Not great for people with kids or those with asthma.
Everything must be prepaid. Not like a normal hotel, depending on your reservation (some people get a credit). It’s super annoying and when asked why we couldn’t charge a $5 chochkey to the room the answer was I don’t know. I had to ask a manager to explain why.
The best part was the female bartender. Very personable.
The location is close to a lot of Amenities but you have to walk through some questionable places to get there. But I will say the view is awesome.

I really try not to write anything terrible; however, this truly requires an honest review. Our family vacation was, pretty much ruined, by this awful “resort”. The rooms are terribly outdated, dirty, and certainly not worth the price! The minute that we stepped into our room we saw that it was dirty, the bathroom definitely required a thorough re-cleaning. They did offer to clean again. Cleaning person came without any regard to masking...did a quick run by and that was it. The beach is dirty, cigarette butts and trash all over. As a guest at “resort” you cannot even get a beach chair, instead, it’s a $40 rent. So definitely make sure to bring your own beach chair and umbrella. Cannot image doing all that if you are flying to get here. Food at the restaurant is mediocre. And again, every single thing requires extra fees. In general, a place is a disgrace for what they charge. Hallways smell of mold, and everything is in definite need of renovation. Very unhappy and will, absolutely, NEVER back again.

We've been coming here for the last 12 years on our family vacation--10 days. The hotel has gone downhill the last 2 years. This will be our final trip staying here. Rooms smell like mold and could use a deep clean, beds are not comfortable, outdoor pool area is not kept up. Often walk by garbage cans that are overflowing with garbage. They aren't doing any extra cleaning due to COVID even though they advertise they do in fact they are doing less. They use to have a pool boy that would walk around fixing the chairs back into there positions and picking up p,eople trash throughout the day ....they no longer have that. Also the entire place smells like POT even when trying to sit on the balcony. I could go on and on but let this be a warning for those that choose to stay here.....there are plenty of other nice hotels they offer more for less. Will be staying in north myrtle beach from now on. Way too much Riff raff around here for us. Oh and the pool area has no music.

Great place for families. We don’t have kids but they have everything. I usually skip out on reviews but they deserve their props. Lol. Multiple pools, indoor and outdoor, a whole arcade and bowling alley with a great ice cream and snack shop. Starbucks in the hotel. But I was most pleased that when I checked out they provided luggage storage and have showers for people who have to check out of our room way before our flight. That way I was able to enjoy my last day in town without carrying bags around. Right on the beach. I will be back. I only gave it a 4 instead of 5 because North Myrtle beach is a nicer neighborhood, but I liked this area better. More in the mix.

Where do I start asked for early check in. At 2 went to desk to inquire about our room since numerous people were being checked in “well we can give you a ninth floor room that’s ready. “
Don’t expect any housekeeping other than towels unless you call every day regardless of what the info says on check in. Make sure your beds are clean. Mine was full of the prior guests hair. Speaking of hair check under your bath mat that too had loads of hair underneath it and the tub failed to drain. 2 visits to have that fixed room service came up ( I handed the front desk my pillow and asked if they would sleep on it. Housekeeping was sent up and asked me what I wanted what do you think I want the beds fully changed. No housekeeping the next day and received Curt and snyd answer from the front desk clerk
No water pressure in the bathroom sink finally repaired. Food under the stove urine around the toilet base mild on the bathroom floor and that was after VIP housekeeping
While they did hop on some things after my second discussion with the manager The did give us breakfast one day and a whopping $80 dollars off my bill. I did pay $20 a day for housekeeping and all I received was one day of beds made and the other days towels just dropped by the door. So I’m not sure how that compensated me.
Bartender Ed at the splash bar was wonderful
Pools are ok just make sure u get your towels as they are hard to find in the late morning and beyond
Very disappointing stay guests beware
