My family and I(husband and 2 sons 11, and 12 years) have stayed at the super8 at 2700 s ocean blvd. for the last 2 years. I've enjoyed my stay each time. Very impressed with how friendly the staff is. Rooms are basic but very clean. The pool is cleaned every morning, had a slight parking problem but nothing major. The price is reasonable at 80.00 a night if you have ocean view. Less if you choose pool side. I loved the fact that we didn't have to cross the street to get to the beach.
Housekeeping is very nice and helpful as well. Kept the rooms in great shape.

The room was good and the view of the ocean was great. Only problem was, my husband and I have a 2 year old, and there is no elevator. We had to lug all the luggage, his toys, and portable crib up 4 flights. I think they should at the least, invest in a dumbwaiter for people to put their luggage on.

Clean and ok but not in great shape. Comparing the cost with what other places were in October, this was not a great deal.

We arrived at the beach with no reservation. We were in need of two rooms. The hotel manager/owner was very accommodating. My husband had stayed at this hotel a month earlier. The rates were very reasonable. The rooms were very nice and clean. The pool and premises were well maintained. The hotel has a laundry if needed. They provided a free ice machine. Free coffee and doughnuts were available each morning in the office. We will definetly stay here on our next trip to the beach.

I booked this hotel based on other reviews about its renovations and new management although I don't always associate the best rooms these days with a Super 8. The beds and pillows are nice and soft (and I was excited to see 3 pillows per double bed since I always use two at home). The rooms are very clean and a good size overall. The staff has been super friendly and more than helpful with our needs. The breakfast is very basic but good enough to fill you up if you're on a budget and looking to cut out that extra expense. Our room is poolside so we can't see the ocean but we can definitely hear it and its just a few steps away so its very convenient. We will definitely be staying here again!

I'm so glad that I walked in to the Super 8 Oceanfront. I found a comfortable, quiet and SAFE place to stay in Myrtle Beach, for a reasonable price.... Plus, it's on the ocean!
The management changed hands, Feb 1st 2016, and the new managers have a lot of experience in the hotel business. They're improving the property from the previous mgmt that ran it into the ground; Thankful they started with my room! Comfortable, clean, with an accommodating, knowledgeable staff.
I highly recommend giving this "new" hotel a try.

Woke up to find a few ROACHES sharing the room with us!!!! The shower curtain was molded, the door seal was not secured. The pool was dirty. The Parking lot was small and dirty!!! Asked for a 1st floor room due to disability and difficulty climbing stairs (btw...NO ELEVATOR) & We were told that they didn't have any available. The breakfast they advertise is not great either. Beware......go some place that cares about their customers!

So I'm going to be honest here I stayed in one of the luxury hotels up the road before I stayed here so it was kinda like going from a hot tub to a ice bath. Anyhow I booked this room on our last night in myrtle beach because we decided to stay another day. I picked this place up for 63.99. I regret this because my previous hotel was only 91.97 so I should have just paid the 30 buck difference. Anyway, when I pulled up it looked like one of those intercity hotels that well you take some unsavory people to do unsavory things with. We checked in and went to the room and immediately noticed the great smell of mildew. On a "plus" note the room was remodeled albeit by what appeared to be 2nd graders. The bathroom was kinda clean but there was sand everywhere. The beds were very worn out and you sank into the middle but I'll give them that the pillows were comfy. We also noticed a massive gap in the door from the frame (pretty sure a squirrel could have crawled through it). The carpet was again "new" I would say it would be in better condition if it had ever been vacuumed. Now I will say when we were there the pool was decent but had quite a bit of sand in the bottom of it. The location on the beach sucked. The beach on the south side is not nearly as wide as the north and is NOT patrolled by lifeguards. However it was a great place to run away from the room. I understand that you don't spend a lot of time in the room when you visit the beach but I would like it to be in decent shape. Again I will say don't be cheap spend the extra thirty or so dollars and stay someplace better. I know I will the next time I am in myrtle beach.

This motel was at the very end of the strip(South), approximately the 4th from last motel/hotel. If you are expecting to park your car and just commute by foot up and down Ocean Blvd to eat and shop, staying at this location is a very bad idea. Once my family arrived to the motel there was no tissue in the room at all. There was a huge gap in between the door and the actual door lock. I did not feel safe at all. It seems as if the room door had once been kicked in(broken into) and instead maintenance fixing the damage correctly, they just moved the new lock down. Also, after the 1st night my entire family woke up with dead phones, ipads, hand games and etc because there seemed to be electrical problems in the room. The entire wall where the bed and nightstand is can not sustain no more than two devices being plugged into the wall at once or else the entire room will go dark. The room was really dusty and the water in the shower ran all night. I tried with all of my strength to turn the knobs in the shower to cut the dripping/running water but there was obviously a bigger issue. So unless you would like to sleep and enjoy your vacation in a UNSAFE, DUSTY, DATED, WATERFALL RUNNING MOTEL I would NOT recommend the Super 8 Motel at all.

Stayed here one night (June 14-15) during our vacation............glad to say that it would be our last!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!! Very old & in need of MAJOR renovation.....or just torn down!!! Check-in was ridiculous, although the staff was pleasant. Once we were FINALLY checked in, we went to our room. When we shut the door, there was a huge gap between the door & the frame. Just didn't feel safe! Room had a different odor.....not good, but definitely not foul! Maybe like stinky "old man cologne"............kind of annoying!!! I'd rather the place smell clean! Beds were awful! I'm assuming they got their mattresses from a dumpster! Air mattresses would have been better!! Carpet looked very aged......like green-ish & from the "Brady Bunch" phase!!! Pool was TINY!! AND.....the worst part......when we got in later, we all needed to shower before bed!!! Bathroom was DISGUSTING!! Shower was dirty & had hair on the shower walls!!! GROSS!! Me & my boyfriend each showered & both times shower was clogged & took FOREVER to drain! I was thankful we had showered first & after that I decided I'd rather have dirty kids than for them to step into that nasty dirty shower & have to stand in our used water the entire time!! I don't think I'm being picky.........I am a single mother of two kids (ages 13 & 9) I make less(a lot less) than $20,000 a year, so my house DEFINITELY nothing nice! So I would never expect The Ritz Carlton, but I do keep my house clean & I guess I expect the same when I stay somewhere! THANK GOD we only had to stay here one night, as our flight was the next day & our previous 7 days were spent at The Marriott Oceanwatch Villas at Grand Dunes (which was like "The Ritz Carlton")!!!
