Our dishwasher obviously was broken before we ever walked into the unit and they knew this but did not tell us or give us the opportunity to change units. I did not come to the beach to wash dishes by hand as it is my vacation and it is not cheap here. We called to have it fixed they did not fix it nor did they give us any money off of our room for this being broken. We called six times for them to fix the safe we had no water one night and had no hot water the next day. They gave no consideration to the fact that there was a used Band-Aid stuck to one of the walls. We have stayed there for many years and while we kept coming back this is the worst that we have ever had it and it is all about the money now it is completely different than it used to be and we won’t be back. If they had offered us a refund on a room of some sort maybe but as of this time no. Save your money it’s not worth it…
My wife and I stayed here in January and were put in room C201. It was disgusting, with dust everywhere and filthy furniture. We complained and were put in room C401 after the manager told us that they did not yet have time to do their "deep cleaning" before the summer season. OK, I guess somewhat makes sense. We were put in room C401 and had the same filthy chairs. Gross. We gave up and covered them with bedsheets from one of the extra beds. I brought my family back in June of this year for the same room type. We were put in room C901. As you can see, this is the level of cleanliness that Caribbean Resort feels is acceptable for their guests. This makes me wonder what other corners they're cutting when it comes to cleanliness. We won't be back.
Everyone at the resort is so friendly! I want to personally thank Vijay and Hattie for going above and beyond and treating us like family! It really felt like we were at home! I would definitely stay here again!
What a great place. Rented the 4 bedroom, 3 bath condo for my 6 adult member family. Plenty of room for everyone yet we can still be together. Highly recommend the resort. Great view and very comfortable. Feels just like how but with a great view. We'll be back.
Great place for the family. Spike was awesome at check in and had great tips on where to go for dinner. Sea Captains restaurant next door was amazing food. It’s definitely worth getting up early to see the sunrise!!
Spike and the crew was outstanding!!! Our original housing plans fell through and the staff got us in on the best deal they could last minute on a holiday weekend. Then we got there and Spike checked us in and made the fiasco of our original housing disappeared. He is kind and caring, I truly believe that he wants the best for everyone that stays and wants to see the hotel grow! I would give this all the stars for Spike alone, but the entire experience truly saved our holiday! Thank you Spike et crew!
I have stayed at many hotels in my life, from a Motel 6, to Ritz Carlton, to the 4 seasons…. And to be honest, a podunk hotel in the middle of nowhere would have been a better experience. We stay here twice a year, and have for over 10 years. We arrived on Saturday, and there were massive stains on 2 of the mattresses. Then, the air conditioning isn’t working properly. Two rooms are freezing while the other two are extremely hot. Then came the water… our water was shut off from 10pm Monday until 7am the following day with no warning! Had we known, we could have all made sure to take showers etc prior to 10pm. The hotel claims they got our number wrong when they sent a text to alert us.. YA RIGHT! Also, we haven’t even had hot water since Sunday AM. Absolutely NONE! And the “manager” told us that “hot water is not a necessity, we don’t need to provide it.” I’m sorry, what?!? I also forgot to add, I worked for JQH hotels for 7 years and I know how to run a hotel… this isn’t it! We paid 4 figures to stay here and the manager told us that they are working on compensation, probably $25-50 per day…. This hotel was over $650 per day! Absolutely unacceptable! We originally heard $250 per day which we didn’t even think was acceptable but now you’re lowering it to $25-50? Nope, not at all acceptable. I also want to mention that I’m a travel blogger/influencer for work and will be sure to mention ALL of this on my pages. I hope the General Manager sees this and wants to make this right. (PS the staff won’t even give us a name). Unbelievable!…
Best stay in Myrtle Beach! We stayed in a 3 bdrm ocean front condo-very clean, had everything we needed, 5 elevators so no waiting!! Staff very friendly! We will always go back!! The property had several pools and hot tubs! 2 outside bars-just a clean, family friendly place! Awesome stay!!
First stay at the Caribbean Resort and we were very pleased. Room was clean and in excellent condition. Parking was never a problem. The entire staff provided excellent customer care. We have to mention Ivy our personal assistant who contacted us several times to make sure everything was going as it should. Also a big shout out to Hope, one of the managers, who went above and beyond to help us. We definitely recommend this resort and will stay at The Caribbean again.
Would definitely NOT stay here again Multiple issues and lackluster accommodations - they advertise free/discounted attractions with your stay but when I called the front desk to ask how to utilize them I was rudely told she “didn’t know what I was talking about and could not take the time to find out” even though this is the top banner of their website - balcony door with broken lock in a room with children is extremely dangerous - was told you have to give a 24 hour notice to have your room serviced (linens and trash) - had 1 remote for 2 tvs with no instructions on how to use or channel guide - no luggage carts available with parking across the street Beach access was good and basically the only positive to this trip
