Nestled in a prime spot with ocean vistas, the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is celebrated for its location near local attractions. While the array of amenities is a draw for guests, the hotel's charm is somewhat overshadowed by dated facilities and the need for room renovations. Opinions on cleanliness are split, with commendable public space hygiene contrasting with room upkeep concerns.
The atmosphere is generally welcoming, though occasionally marred by noise and worn decor. Staff service garners acclaim for its warmth and efficiency. However, the perceived value suffers due to additional fees for amenities and parking.

Detailed Reviews
My family was in Myrtle Beach for a quick vacation, not all family members stayed at this location. I can say the check-in process was quick and easy Jules at the front desk did an exceptional job with the hotel amenities, where you could go on the property and the adjacent properties.
We had an ocean front view which the room needed an upgrade, the rooms were small, no microwave although there was one on a floor or two, we did have a refrigerator, very limited room cleaning services for a booked hotel. The complimentary breakfast was good and so was the service. Overall the hotel is nice they make the first point of contact really nice then it goes downhill from there. I just expected more from the Hilton franchise when it came to accommodations, the size, cleanliness of the room, towels, etc., additionally, our iron in the room didn't work we waited about 45 min. to no avail no one came nor was the iron ever delivered. I had to visit the front desk to ask for additional towels anyway so I mentioned the iron in the room was not working, the front desk staff advised me that they were possibly out of irons? Not what I expected to hear at all.
I would pass on staying at this Hilton in the future, however; I would be open to exploring other room options elsewhere within Kingston Plantation.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I go every year, sometimes twice, to the best Myrtle Beach Oceanfront hotel that is away from the Myrtle Beach crowds. Great staff, including Rachid (Bellhop), Susan (Amalfi Server) and JoAnne Brown (Manager). Everyone is accommodating to your needs and the seaside Wet Whistle bar is great for drinks & eats.

The hotel is very nicely situated right on the ocean with all room having an ocean view. I want to specifically call out Shaneka who helped take care of our needs in our room each day with fresh towels and wash cloths, and Shaneka was very accommodating with cleaning our room to keep us stocked with enough bath soap, hand soap, and emptying the trash. It was very obvious that Shaneka works very hard at her job, and she does it with a smile on her face. Thank you so much.

This was a nice place, but a very basic room for the price you pay. You can get the same thing MUCH cheaper. In the same area, there are places that have microwaves IN the room, kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary breakfast. You get 2 beds, a TV, a Mini fridge, and a coffee pot. The dining room service doesn't answer. So if you spend your day on the beach make sure you have food to eat afterward. Ordering food was terrible. Not the hotel's fault though. The breakfast is $20+ per and just your standard breakfast you usually get free. We were there a day short of a week and the pool didn't get cleaned once. The bottom was full of sand. Other places we've stayed got cleaned every morning. Firefighters had to come to get someone off a stuck elevator. Can't really control random occurrences though. They are "full service" which means they will take your stuff to the room and pick it up when you're ready to leave. All in all, for the price point the value isn't there for a very basic room. It is a nice place, but everywhere is usually nice there.

Would not stay at this hotel. Clerks are rude or just stand around and watch you knowing you would like to get checked in. But that is not the priority at this hotel. Bed sheets need to be checked when you get to your room to make sure the bed was even changed from the guest before you.

The location of this hotel is nice being out and away from all the hustle and bustle of south myrtle which we avoided thankfully due to advice from family and friends. That being said, this place is only polished at the entry as the rooms are in need of a serious overhaul. Most of the outlets didn't work the fridge was tiny, there was no microwave, I kept banging my head and elbows trying to shower and forget about 2 ppl being in the bathroom at the same time, the air conditioner made a high pitch whining noise all night, the hour keeping staff were terrible. they came and collected the garbage and took our towels without leaving any new ones or refilling the coffee or dispensers in the shower between days. The door to the room wouldn't close completely on its own so about half the time our room was unlocked until we noticed not to mention the joke show of getting your bags to the car at checkout. Long story short it has potential but is in dire need of an update!!!! And their resort fee is wasted money seeing as how it doesn't do or cover anything

Overall great location and property. My wife and I enjoyed our five night getaway and will most likely return. All hotel staff were friendly and willing to assist with any questions and/ or requests. Nickel Simms at the front desk was especially helpful during the check-in process and made us feel welcome in addition to recognizing my loyalty status with a room upgrade to a higher floor and ocean view room. Multiple pool areas were all well maintained and provided ample seating. Easy beach access. One recommendation is to improve the availability of towels at the pool area. Towels were sometime unavailable and when available were often limited to one per person. Rooms are not cleaned daily - every fourth night unless requested otherwise. We had no issues replacing bath towels when needed. Convenient self parking in a covered parking deck. Pool bar and food service were good and attendants were friendly. Hotel is conveniently located with the outlets, restaurants, Kroger and Walmart all available within the range of the hotel shuttle if needed. Guests also have access to the water park and pool at the Embassy Suites located within a short walk or by shuttle.

We visited as past of a Timeshare presentation. We had not been to Myrtle Beach so it was a cheap opportunity given the deal provided. It started a bit rough as we could not access our room. The key cards and digital key would not work. I returned to the front desk and was provided new keys and told it was probably the battery in the lock and to be safe Maintenance would be sent yup right behind me.
We still could not access and waited for maintenance. And waited for maintenance. And waited some more. I then called the front desk but actually got a someone who answered the phone for a couple resorts that are connected. I explained the issue and she advised she would enter another service call to be sure they were on the way. We then waited some more and after about 30 minutes standing outside the door I returned to the front desk and requested a new room or we would leave. The woman at the desk offered no apology and instead had an attitude with me but did give us a new room which turned out to be a better location than the first.
Once in our room, the remained of the visit was very good. All other staff was friendly and helpful. The pools are great as is the beach. Good amenities but at a cost as expected at a beachfront resort including parking, resort fee, higher food and beverage prices etc…. However, being Hilton Honors Gold we selected the $30 per day food and beverage credit which made up for the high costs. To be honest i drove a mile to Dunkin Donuts each morning as the market offered only Starbucks at high prices and long waits.
Hotel is in a nice location. Quiet but within close driving or shuttle distance to tons of restaurants etc…
All in all a great getaway for a few days and really enjoyed the area. We plan to return to the area next October perhaps as the crowds were gone but the weather etc was still excellent.
No - We did not buy anything. Didn’t plan to but I always listen and consider and you never know. We have owned a deeded timeshare for the last 20 plus years which we use every year and has worked out incredible well. (Not a big points fan.)

Wonderful stay in an enhanced oceanview king. The bed and bedding was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure which can be hard to find at a busy hotel. Jules at check in at the front desk was wonderful and personable and set the tone for a great stay.
Our waiter at breakfast was great. The location to the beach is pefect.

Yes, The Hilton owns the neighboring properties (I believe it’s 4 hotels). You can use any of the pools on that property. They are all connected by a boardwalk. We have stayed at the Hilton and Royal Palms and love it there. Plenty of dining to choose from as well as a cabana bar and other bars inside. Hope this helps!
