My family and I just returned from an absolutely amazing vacation and stay at the beautiful Inn & Club at Harbourtown. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Joe, the wonderful bellman and concierge specialist that made time to speak with us each day and ask how our stay was going and if there was anything he could do for us. Then we checked in with reception / guest services where we met Nathan, Julie and Sarah. They were all welcoming and even presented each of us with a glass of champagne. That was the perfect way to kickoff the start of our vacation. Later that evening we met up with Fran, the amazing bartender, pool attendant and so much more. We have known Fran since our first trip and this was our fourth. She was just the same as we remembered her: funny, friendly, pleasant and ever accommodating. The next morning our housekeeper, Shaneka came and cleaned our room and took special care of our daughter and her requests for extra chocolate at turn down service as well as a hand-written note with daily weather forecasts for the next day and more. Special shout out to Grady and Joe as they helped my mom and dad ( a bit older in age) enter and exit the sprinted that took us to the beach every day / on time. Once arriving at the beach we were greeted by Danielle and Nathan who had our lounge chairs reserved with an umbrella and towels laid out for us. Our room was very clean, air conditioning was wonderful - no issues. My husband and father played golf and received such care and course information from Bobby . We were so happy we met him as he is an asset to the golf club. It was nice to see both resort managers were on duty and assisting their staff wherever needed. Kuddos to Sarah and Julie as they have done an amazing job mentoring their personnel to ensure all guests are welcomed and taken care of. We cant wait to head back next year.

Sea Pines is very impressive with its natural beauty and quality of the many amenities. Enjoyed using the complimentary basic bikes on the extensive network of paths. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved that the housekeeping is scheduled during a time window to make planning easier. Room was comfortable but could use a refresh (especially carpet and bath tiling) for the price point. Disappointed with the Sea Pines Beach Club as the website indicates seasonal food and beverage service but that was not in effect during our stay in August. On one of the days, there was no attendant so we had to return to the Inn to get towels. In addition, the chairs are set up far back on the beach so there are no unobstructed views of the ocean. Also, swimming was restricted due to jellyfish (obviously nobody’s fault but beware). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Everything is beautiful here except the attitude of the waitress/hostess Tracy Ann. While I get the hospitality business can be rough, At least fake the niceness to the guests for what we pay. We were more than disappointed with the attitude. We don’t get treated like this at Kiawah….

This hotel is amazing! From the moment we walked up until we checked out, it was top notch. The staff was attentive, the decor was just what you would expect in the South, and the room was spacious. Plenty of areas to sit outside or inside, so no reason to stay in your room here. We enjoyed watching the golfers tee off, we enjoyed our walks, the Beach Club, the Links at the Club House. All of it down to the chocolate in your room at night. Sarah was especially attentive in check-in and throughout the stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved it from check in to check out! Started well with a glass of champagne at checkin! Lol Had 2 rooms on the second floor that looked out on the front. Actually the parking area but looking out in the trees was pretty. Room was beautiful with complementary waters and turn down each night. Pool was small but just perfect. Looked onto the golf course which is beautiful! Continental breakfast with coffee and tea in the lobby. There’s a small bar that services the lobby and the pool. Easy to get bikes to ride to Harbortown and the beach. Lots of bike paths! Highly recommend the hotel. Felt luxurious and only 60 rooms made it personalized. Easy walk to breakfast at the Links. Great breakfast!

Stayed at The Inn and Club for 4 nights as part of a golfing trip. It’s a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and excellent beds. Staff were most helpful and obliging affording us a warm welcome and every assistance during our stay. The pool and jacuzzi area is very comfortable and well laid out. Lobby and bar area is spacious and relaxing with comfortable seating. The Links restaurant is good albeit service can be a tad slow. Free bikes for touring the Sea Pines resort. Looking forward to returning.

The hotel offers so many amenities and transportation to get them, it makes for a lovely getaway. There is no transportation from the airports, but after you get there, someone can drive you in the vehicle or golf cart to the Beach Club, shopping, or Light House (you can walk to that one). When you arrive at the Sea Pines gate and let the guard know you will be staying at the inn, you will need to go into the visitor center to pick up your vehicle parking pass. At the hotel, there is a swimming pool, hot tub, professional level golf course, tennis with tennis lessons, and a nice club house for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Links. It is about a 2 minute walk to the club house from the hotel or you could ask for a golf cart ride. If you are a golf fan, you need to walk to the club house to see the list of winners, photos, and the golf shop. There is a separate shop in the tennis center. I discovered IBKUL tennis shirts which provide 2 way ventilation to keep you cool, have UPF 50 protection, and are super light. I am buying more for traveling. For tennis fans, Wimbledon champion Stan Smith runs an academy there where you can take classes with him or the other professionals. If you are driven to or drive to the Ocean Pine Beach Club, the Coast restaurant has a delicious menu. Make reservations through the concierge/butler service/front desk or on Open Table. The Ocean Lounge had outdoor tables and two fireplace tables. We made reservations at Coast for outdoor dining and instead of being seated in the front area of Coast, we were taken upstairs to the Ocean Lounge fire table. It was the best dinner with the sound of the ocean waves, full moon, and quiet. It was a cold night, so only two tables came and went on the deck. The room had an old fashioned plantation style feel to the room with wood furniture, a high bed, desk with two chairs, a reading chair and footstool, live plant, and even a suit stand, which I had never seen before. The Nespresso coffee and tea maker in the room was a wonderful surprise. The first cup, it would lose most of the water, so you may need to do it twice to get a cup of coffee. The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower and tub. No bath salts were provided, so you may want to bring your own. Moulton Brown bath products. We visited in February which was in the 50 to 60 degree range, so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. No towels were outside, but you could ask at the front desk. The staff was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much to ask including helping us re-arrange our dinner reservations at Coast and another restaurant. Joe who drove us to the Beach Club was warm, friendly, and made the drive there go so fast. Stellar staff!

Everything here was perfect. Nice large clean room. Very comfortable beds. Quiet. Very friendly staff. Hotel is owned by the same group that owns the Sanctuary at Kiawah. Nice pool and hot tub. We will definitely stay here again.

Ugh, where to begin? The island of Hilton Head is shared about 50-50 between public lands and gated communities, some of which, like Indigo Run or the Plantation are high-end property-owner associations. But some of these are hybrids - properties AND playgrounds for the well-off, mostly toward the southern half of the island. The Sea Pines estate dominates this neighborhood with a few square miles of everything from golf courses to lavish homes to beach-front dining to deep forests hung with Spanish Moss. Among the Sea Pines hotels is The Inn & Club at Harbor Town (perhaps their finest) where we spent 3 nights, and Sea Pines apparently has a good partnership with Marriott whose fine resorts also dot the map. Public pedestrian access is available through their frontage along the breathtaking shoreline state park, but to drive your car on their roads, you'll need a gate-pass, complimentary for hotels guests like us. How they handle diners from outside, I'm not sure (via online table reservations?) So how would I rate the Inn & Club at Harbour Town? Well, like everyone else as of Autumn 2021, they've got hospitality pros struggling to mentor a lot of newcomer staff, and with high-end hospitality, there's no substitute for experienced staff. Let's hope they fix it soon. What hasn't suffered is the food. Excellent! We dined at Links (walking distance at their golf club) and Ocean (a free shuttle ride to their Beach Club). Both the waitstaff and the cooks seem to have avoided Covid attrition. They know their stuff. Overall, my complaints about inept hotel service are overpowered by the sheer fun of visiting the sunny world of pampered lifestyle which probably wouldn't be possible without the isolation of the island of Hilton Head.
