Hotel had long term indigent guests, cooling on grills in parking lot, homeless camp in ditch beside our room. Felt very unsafe, empty restaurant on property. In state of disrepair, dumpsters left in open parking spaces. Terrible and still almost $200 a night. The franchise should be taken away
On first look rm. 104 appeared to be decent improved but not upgraded. Mattress comfortable, pillows lumpy. Brown sludge in coffee dispenser water well. Toilet not working properly. Trash left in rm. , floors not washed just swept. Complained, no refund. Desk person was pleasant but only comment was “the place needs a lot of fixing, nothing works”. We’ll never stay here again and doubtful we’ll stay at any Red Roof again.
Nicole, Michael and Shelly were very friendly and made me feel right at home. Being by myself, they made me feel safe and welcomed. My phone was low on battery and the staff made sure it was recharged & morning coffee was excellent.
While I can't say that this hotel was horrible, the bare-bones state of the room and a pretty disgusting bathroom really soured my experience. The front desk experience was very nice, and you can tell that the hotel earnestly tries very hard to make its guests feel welcome. The front desk attendant called once we got to our room to check if everything was ok -- but this call came RIGHT as we entered, so we hadn't had a chance to really look over things. I stayed in a handicap accessible room that had a king bed and an accessible shower. When we got to the room, it was a pretty basic/economy space that didn't feel very comfortable -- mostly because the floors are bare. The A/C and head worked fine. The television worked, and we had a microwave and fridge in the room. A lightbulb was out in one of the sconces. The bed was covered in clean linens and was generally comfortable. There was no privacy curtain, only a blackout one, so we pretty much kept the blinds closed the whole time. The bathroom was the worst part of the room, and in need of some fixes. When we entered, the bathroom had a slight smell of sewage, probably from not being used in a while. The floor was very dirty, and the large drain for the standing shower had visible signs of rust. In the morning, it made me just want to leave. I think my experience is unique to the room I was in, but it will make me very hesitant to stay at another red roof inn.…
My husband and I have been staying here for the last 1 and 1/2 years, the girl at the front desk Nicole is a very helpful, pleasant person. The management and staff are very helpful when ask for anything. The rooms are clean and very roomy. Equipped with fridge, microwave. We love the 2 room suite they have . Will continue to stay here .
The clerk was extremely cold and rude when we arrived (had a reservation). The room lock did not work...the deadbolt would engage no matter what we did so we couldn't leave because the lock would not disengage unless the inner handle was turned. The hot water heater was broken and we had two days with NO hot water. I was told it would be "about 30 minutes", for a couple hours, and then finally told on day two that the repair guy doesn't work on weekends. At that point (after tolerating it for two nights) we decided to just leave. When I approached the front desk to get refunded for the third night we weren't going to use, she just said "yeah, the other guests left too". Not sure how this place can actually make it...they had no interest in the guests, and the place is really a mess. Would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this hotel. In fact, it was bad enough that my wife said she's completely done with Red Roof after this experience. If you decide to stay here, consider yourself informed and warned.…
I travel with my friends to Hilton head the 21 of this month to have a little fun before her wedding it was a great stay the ladies at the front desk were friendly. I have a few questions about Hilton head and they answer all of them they are really good at it I will be coming back for more fun.
My stay at the redroof for me and my partner was great the guy that dealt with us was mike and he made sure our experience was one to remember the rooms we’re clean and spacious and it came with everything refrigerator microwave and coffee maker I’ll definitely recommend this hotel for any stay.
This hotel saved me if not I had to go home, this was my first trip alone. I'm nervous because I booked With another hotel and they cancel my reservation. I was lucky to find the red roof. I explained my situation to the front desk ladies and they were really understanding. I made a reservation but it said check in was at 4 but I talked to them. They checked for my room to see if it was ready. My room was ready and I checked in at 2:30pm The room was great, smelled good and the bed felt comfortable. I believe if there was any problem I can talk to the ladies at the front desk and they will try to make some accommodations for me. I will definitely be coming back with my friends and family to enjoy hilton head and the hotel to enjoy my time. Thank you ladies for making my trip better.…
Avoid this place if you can. This is a bare-bones establishment with no refrigerator, no microwave, No coffee maker and no coffee or breakfast offered at all. We tried to check in at A 3:45 and we’re told we had to wait until 4 o’clock. The woman at the desk was not friendly at all. Although this is touted as 100% no smoking establishment they were people outside their rooms smoking and talking at all hours. At this establishment the old adage you get what you pay for applies.
