Hotel's Favourite
This older hotel has been renovated and it's very nice. The rooms are small like older hotels often where but very adequate. The breakfast and dining room where clean and food was replenished often. We hardly heard airplanes takeoff or land even though the property is next to the airport.

Nothing good to say about this hotel that needs a major update! Everything was dark and dingy in the room; noisy from the planes landing and taking off next to the hotel; breakfast was subpar with no healthy options; bathroom ceiling and walls peeling; no real drawer space for your clothes (except 3 little bins); only one elevator... horrible place....

We are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not what you expected. We will be starting renovations on our bathrooms in November which will fix the issues that you had with our bathrooms. There is an airport behind the hotel. It is a small airport with approximately 7-15 planes that land and take off in any given day. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

This Hampton Inn is special, clean, in a beautiful shady setting on Hilton Head Island, near beaches and restaurants. I highly recommend it. My wife and I just spent three days there and celebrated my birthday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an extremely nice and helpful desk clerk, Ovielle, who checked us in and made us feel so welcome. He thanked us for being Hilton Honor Members and gave us bottles of water, and helped us with information. We saw Ovielle off and on during our stay, and he was always smiling and helpful. We had stayed in a Hampton Inn in North Carolina in August, and the desk clerk was reluctant to give us bottles of water since we were not “Gold or Diamond” Honors members. First time that has ever happened, so desk clerks like Ovielle can make all of us feel welcome. The breakfast at the Hampton Inn, Hilton Head was awesome, and the pool outside was very inviting. The only glitch in the visit was that none of the equipment in the business office was working. Albert

Bee, Nadine and the entire Staff Go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and top notch. Kudo’s to the Manager who leads by example. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast has many choices. My granddaughter insisted on doing her virtual school there. We had to stay until right before checkout. She loved the queen size bed and the mini fridge. The Staff not only greeted us but her as well. Making her feel special… Awesome experience.

Where to begin. Make sure you stay on the 2nd floor if you decide to stay here. On the first floor the ceilings are either extremely thin, or we had a marching band wearing concrete shoes above us. Every step made will wake you. The aromatics of marijuana filled the hallway and when front desk staff was alerted, they snickered and kept gossiping. Be prepared to start your day with distain from breakfast staff, who couldn’t get off a phone call long enough to reply to a cheerful “Good Morning” I extended. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This Hampton Inn needs an extreme renovation and staffing revamp.

Hello, the elevator was not working so I hard to lug my bags up stairs straining my back. So it's not been nice. I am in a lot of pain to start my vacation. Elevator being down or buttons not working was not disclosed. A lot of loud noises in the hall ways, AC kept turning off, glass was broken near my car tires, shower floods due to pour draining. But good news is app worked and breakfast was not bad. But due to the others we chose to move down the road to another hotel and will have to let corporate know of the down hill this location has turned, I don't know if you even care but it's rather annoying to spend ~$160 and have a bad night/stay. 2/10 would not recommend

This is my 3rd time staying at this location. Last year I did not have a pleasant stay! ( issues with my bathroom)Ms . Bee assured me if I came back next summer, she would make sure that I would have a pleasant experience!On a spur of a moment after vacationing in Charleston I decided to swing by Hilton Island.I returned to stay at this Hampton Inn due to location and budget friendly . I arrived way before my check in time, it was understandably that my room was not ready! Ms. Bee and Ms April worked to make a room available for me! Once my room was ready it was clean and well organized! It should be noted this is one of the older Hampton Hotels. Some renovations are needed. The breakfast allows for individuals to have a choice of a cereal continental or hot breakfast of breakfast meat and eggs! Overall it was pleasant and friendly stay!

I booked 8 rooms in April and then around 20 rooms in early to mid May for a work project. One the first trip I had people flying in from all over the country and it was a short one day trip, the other would be for a week. It was essential that we get everyone one in and out very quickly since some our guys had to get back for other projects and time was acutely essential. We had to get up and out of the hotel at 6am to get our work done that day and most people back on their flights home, one person was flying to the UK. A lot of our people kept coming up to me and telling me that their showers didn’t work and they weren’t able to take one and they were pretty upset since we had huge tome constraints to deal with. It turns out that six of the eight rooms we had did not have functioning showers. I ran into the sales manger later in the afternoon and told her the problems we were having. She told me that “the showers are the biggest complaints the hotel gets and that they’re planning having that issues fixed in 6 months.” So, she was well aware that the problem existed beforehand. There was no warning of the matter on their sight nor did we have any warning when I booked the rooms. I told her what our constraints were when I was booking everything and how important it was to get everyone in and out quickly and efficiently. I would have expected that they would at least made sure we didn’t have the rooms with plumbing problems. To make matters worse two of my crew asked when we got back if they could use the shower in another room and the front desk person snapped back at them, very rudely, and said “no, you should have said something before you checked out.” As I mentioned we had to be out of the rooms and on the road at 6am, everyone was tired from coming in the night before and they didn’t have time to deal with it that early in the morning. After the all the complaints I got I called the sales manger told her I needed to cancel the upcoming reservation. I couldn’t risk having these troubles on the trip and that I found another hotel that guaranteed everyone would have working showers and if for some reason they didn’t they would move their rooms immediately. The sales manager from the Hampton Inn was incredibly rude and tried to bully me by saying the contract we signed said we couldn’t cancel unless we have 30 days notice or we would have to pay for the rooms. She also said very rudely that they had already budgeted for our stay. She never said anything about trying to win me back and guarantee the rooms in the next stay wouldn’t have these problems or any sort of solution, she just took to chastising me and telling me untruths about our contract with them. As it turns out I never sent the signature page of the contract and she called and asked if I had intended on sending it. I said I would try and send it later. She called me multiple times that day trying to get me to send it, and was again pretty rude in asking for it. I made me very concerned that she was up to something and I decided it wasn’t a good idea to send it. She called again the next day at 5:00 am my time and didn’t leave a message. I just ignored her calls out of concern for her desperation and also not wanting to be talked at in the manner she had been talking to in the past. I have been having a lot of major problems with Hilton’s lately, look at my review of the Hilton San Francisco Financial District for another example. I ended up booking with another chain and everything went flawlessly, I reviewed them as well. The experience in Hilton Head left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
