Reservations are extremely difficult to obtain for these highly desirable locations and low cost price point! Start trying 13 months ahead! There are two locations - coastal sling the beach with very nicely presented grass and gravel sites adjacent to the ocean - and the inland site about a mile north which has individual sites amongst live oaks. I'd opt...

The beaches and this campground are beautiful. The campground is clean, right at the beach with excellent beach access and large camping sites. If you enjoy looking for sea shells then you will love this beach. In fact you will want flip flops while on the beach as it's more shells than sand. It was definitely a magical place and...

This was our first experience "camping" in a cabin. (baby steps people) We loved it. We stayed in cabin 2. This cabin was so clean. It looked like it had never been stayed in. It is fully equipped with dishes, knives, platters, nice cooking pots, pans...I mean I was impressed. The view at night, literally made me cry. There were...

We love camping at Edisto and enjoy the close proximity to the beach. We were amazed at all the large chonc shells we found as well as many beautiful ones. We riode our bikes to the quaint town and loved having breakfast at the Sea Cow restaurant. We enjoyed a dolphin tour and all the gift shops. It is a...

...campsites need to be scraped and maintained better, this will help with rain water drainage. Last month our site, 104, completely flooded and didn't drain for the entire weekend. The trees are beautiful but some of them need to be removed so that sites are more easily backed into. This week we had 112 which was difficult to back into....

We had booked a room in Hilton Head for a few days during July 4th week and couldn't enjoy the beach there because it was so crowded. We had camped here in July 2014 for a week and absolutely LOVED it. Remembering the lack of crowds and the great shelling this beach had to offer, we packed a cooler, grabbed...

Stayed in site 1 at the beach campground in a tent for 2 nights. It was a very secluded site, private and quiet. The ocean is actually over the dunes and behind the site, but we could hear the waves at night, which was peaceful. This island is still somewhat undeveloped, so there are no big attractions and not a...

I booked our stay at this campground in 2014 when I had a smaller travel trailer. Without realizing the size of the site when we arrived and tried to park the new TT the site was too small. The staff was very accommodating and located another site.

I'm usually a bit thrifty, but when it comes to this beach, I choose to pay. It's worth having bathroom access and a fantastic shaded picnic area. The oaks are a signature feel for a traditional South Carolina. The beach itself is perfect for our family. Not to much distance between our tented spot and the actual surf. Which there...

“This is a real "getaway." No commercialism just you and nature. But near conveniences such as the pier and the "Pig" grocery store. Great beach and kids have a ball. Camping is the primary place to stay in the park. Great rental homes in very near vicinity.”
