For the price and location it is not bad. It is in need of a make-over/cleaning. Housecleaning did a great job in the rooms. Unfortunately our room did not have a canopy so that was disappointing. Balcony needs attention.... or a couple chairs. NICK was welcoming friendly attentive and just all around pleasant. We looked forward to him greeting us...

My husband and I have stayed here almost every time we've been to the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. The rooms haven't changed in more than 30 years. The wallpaper and matching draperies are very old and fading, the floors crack with every step and the bathrooms look worse. So why stay here? The location is perfect, breakfast is delicious and allows...

The inn is definitely in need of some TLC but that is part of the charm. The room was clean and a good size. Breakfast was good and more than adequate. Great location, you can walk to almost everything you would want to do or see. Many great restaurants within walking distance. A great value.

Parking issues!!!! Be ware!! We had to park 1/2 mile away and $20.00 per day.... not fully reimbursed. Room was clean. Bottom floor. Small beds. Great location to get out and walk to shops and restaurants.

Very nice couple of days. Location is excellent. The only problems we had was there should have been a coffee station on the outside dinning area!! Also there was no remote for the TV in the room, which they brought 2 remotes to make it work. Need better room checking before renting. The stay was very nice. Also need to...

Old inn in fair shape. Great location and cheap rate was the decision maker. Needs more cosmetic upkeep, but clean and affordable. I like a nicer room, so this is our first and last stay here. Wine and cheese happy hour was nice for guests on a budget.

Even after reading many reviews I went into the stay with an open mind, here are some honest pros and cons. Pros: -the location can not be beat, walking distance to everything! -breakfast in the morning was very good! I actually looked forward to the coffee -did the job considering the price and location -very clean, its hard to tell...

As others have written before me, the Meeting Street Inn is good for one thing and one thing only these days, the location. Situated across from the Market in downtown it is walking distance to anything and everything you want to do in downtown Charleston. Now to the bad stuff: The hotel is very run down. The lobby itself has...

Historic restored inn across the street from the market. Every detail was what we had hoped for. Friendly staff, clean well appointed room, very quaint historic setting. Breakfast was more than expected. We'll definitely return.

We had a very nice stay here - we had read in other reviews it was a little dated, and that's certainly true, but the location is great, the staff friendly and the rooms comfortable. Breakfast was good, there is a nice outdoors area and the small pool was actually a hot tub. Our room had a decent bed and...
