There are a LOT of restaurants in that part of Charleston, including a very nice sit-down restaurant called California Dreaming that's literally about a four-minute drive from the hotel. When I lived there, I recall it being open on Christmas- but I can't guarantee it now! In any case, even if it's closed, there's a nice collection of smaller "shopping center" restaurants close by in West Ashley (the side of the river that the hotel is on), and if push comes to shove, there are also an array of fast food places of which a few may be open as well. By the way, the Riverview's own restaurant will probably be open for guests, and it's pretty respectable too- particularly since it's one of the taller buildings in Charleston, and you get a great view of the Ashley side of the harbor from it as you dine!
