Awesome staff and service. Breakfast staff is so friendly and helpful. I was able to select my room prior to arrival. If you're looking for convenience for things to do, and the bus line, this hotel would be idea.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 January 2017

This was our 4th time staying at this hotel. The location is great, walking distance to most things in the historic district and shopping on King Street. The rooms are typical for an Embassy Suites and it's really nice having the separate living space when traveling with kids. The breakfast is good and very convenient, it's a buffet style so...

We had 3 of us in one suite. With 2 beds in the bedroom and pull out sofa in the sitting room and it was very comfortable. The lobby is gorgeous with a view from all floors. Happy hour was nice, complimentary cook to order breakfast was very good and concierge was very helpful on suggestions. Staff was always available....

This hotel is over 200 years old and was the original Citadel Military School. The rooms were average and maybe a little worn. However, the hotel itself was great. You felt the history. In addition, a free cooked to order breakfast was provided every morning. A free happy hour with wine, well drinks, beer and appetizers were provided daily from,5...

The things that were lacking were shower supplies, that could be added. The fold out bed was very uncomfortable. The hotel "feels" old and dated but is beautiful. I would likely not stay again due to the cost. But, I am glad I went once. And the greatest value of the hotel is the staff. Outstanding service in every area!!!

The hotel lobby and outdoor patio is very nice, the rooms themselves are average. The location is AWESOME! Valet parking at $25/day is the only option for hotel parking. There is a small pool by the patio, open bar for wine and snacks 5:30-7:30 and a made to order complimentary breakfast which we passed up to try some of the...

I am not picky, so I can overlook something a little outdated for the sake of location. And this is the first time I am ever writing a review on anything, but I have to share my experience to help others from booking at this excuse for a hotel. I was particularly moved by an elderly gentlemen telling the front...

A very nice hotel with a grand atrium. The staff was extraordinary. The only problem was the rooms from 117 on bordered a street that had construction underway. We had room 118 that was next to the construction gate and got very noisy around 0700.

We stayed here May 17 th to the 21st for a destination wedding...other hotels were picked by the brides family and we wanted the Embassy Suites because I need a separate living room since I get up many hours earlier than my husband and I don't have to disturb him.....the rooms are small as people commented.... but, not a problem...yes...the...

The hotel was the original Citadel, so it has historical value. The rooms are spacious and nice, but the noise from the center "parade" room travels upward. The breakfasts were excellent with outdoor seating available. We were able to walk to most places, and the free DASH bus took us everywhere else. However, the buses have weird schedules and are...
