I live in Charleston, where there are no shortage of luxurious properties to spend the night. The wife and I decided to take some time away from suburban life and spend the weekend downtown in our own city. We have traveled a good amount, both domestic and international, and stayed at a number of top-end hotels over the years. Honestly... More

Dear charlestonbiker, I am glad that you and your wife chose Zero George for your temporary escape from Suburban life! Knowing that you all are local and chose to stay with us and experience our property means a lot. Being that we are such a small property of only 16 rooms, it really allows for us to get to know... From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and relaxed. I was met with a glass of champagne and a brief overview of the property along with their amenities. The close attention to detail as far as the amenities go are unsurpassed. I loved the wine and cheese reception with individual cheese boards (per couple), the Nespresso coffee makers in... More

If you're looking for a large scale commercial hotel, or on an austere budget - don't stay at Zero George. But if you want to stay in the best hotel in Charleston, small, personal, with fine rooms and beds, sheets, and pillows you want to fall in to, then look no further. In many ways Zero George reflects the true... More

Dear rs22red, Thank you so much for taking the time and lending your kind words in a review of Zero George. This hotel is an extremely chic place to stay. Folks call it a B&B with it's charming 4 historic homes with porches and gas lit lamps- but it is also a 5 Star hotel- the rooms are cozy with all modern amenities including water and treats at turn down service each night as well as slippers and robes! I would... More

This hotel is made up of 4 historic homes, all beautiful and charming. Staff is responsive and friendly. Don't miss breakfast or the wine and cheese hour. The cheese board is amazing. We had a king room (#5), which was well appointed and had every comfort we could have wanted. The hotel is conveniently located - a short walk to... More

We were reminded of our very 1st visit to Blackberry Farm. Before they grew to the point of not having that one on one service. Back to Zero George tho. Very unassuming dining room. Servers dressed almost too casually for the food served (jeans and t-shirt). Very knowledgable about the food and the wine served. We recommend the 5 course... More

charleston-gypsy-gal, Thank you so much for your glowing review! To be likened to a property such as Blackberry Farm is quiet the compliment. First of all Noise, the buildings are over 150 yrs old, due to historic status there is very little that can be done to dampen the sound from the street.
