Middleton Place is the remains of an old plantation outside of Charleston. The Middleton Foundation has built a series of high class Euro Style buildings. You feel like you are staying in Europe while touring the US. The room fee comes with a ticket to tour the historic home of the Middleton Family and the grounds. Both the home and...

We recently enjoyed 4 days at the Inn and it was very enjoyable. Great accommodations in a beautiful and quite setting, The huge tub was amazing. It was wonderful to be able to walk from The Inn to Middleton Plantation and we spent a lot of time enjoying the property. Breakfast at the Lake House was another treat. We look...

Great place to stay and excellent service. Needs updating to the rooms but the facility is aware and are in the process of doing it. . I would recommend it. Great daily breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese daily as an added bonus.

My husband and I had to postpone our honeymoon, and decided to go here on a whim. The view, the gardens, the food, ALL of it was fantastic. You feel like you are the only one there, it was exactly what we needed- a long relaxing weekend. We did not have to go anywhere! Just relaxed on the river, had...

We did not find it charming as other people have and checked out after one night of a three night stay. From what I saw online, I had no idea there were separate buildings rather than a complex. Didn't know we had to walk to a restaurant in the dark. The concrete stairs up to our room were too much...

The Inn at Middleton Place is magical. After a long day of seeing Charleston and its environs, coming back to a dreamworld of manicured gardens, sweeping green lawns, flowering trees, a meandering river, idyllic vistas, and the very best of 17th and 18th century architecture is not to be missed. The inn's breakfast is generous and completely delicious, and best...

This Inn was Great! The setting was good and the layout of the property was very good. It was a easy walk to restaurant for breakfast and to lodge for happy hour. The Inn was on the river. The rooms were nice and clean.

Charming and lovely rooms with walls of windows, comfortable beds and the largest bathtub you have ever seen. Beekman 1802 products in the bath which have been a favorite of ours for quite some time. Reception daily with snacks and drinks. When you stay overnight, many free tours and grounds entry. Be aware if you have mobility problems, the stairs...

The Inn includes a tour of the plantation and manor. The history just unfolds endlessly - founding fathers, constitutional history, plantation, civil war history.. There is a cypress lake that seems untouched with gardens and walkways and accommodations so you can dine at night by walking from your gorgeous room to the incredible restaurant almost by candlelight. Just... old-fashioned southern...
