We have stayed here one time before about 2 years ago. I am a retired Army soldier so try to use on base lodging if possible to support the facilities and of course to save some $$$. The first time we stayed it was in a different building, older but I don't remember it being this dirty. Our room was...

Although it is a cheaper option that staying out in town in Charleston it is not worth the money you save. In real need of updating, rooms are worn and amenities poor. No elevator so if you have trouble climbing stairs this isn't the place for you. However, rooms are kept clean and staff are friendly.

We stayed here for an overnight getaway to Charleston, and used Uber to get downtown.* (About half the price of a cab!) Our room was lovely as was the staff, and we will be back! * Note that only Uber drivers with a military ID can drive onto the AFB, or you can walk down to the gate and catch...

Nice place to stay. I thought the room should be a little larger as there is no "easy chair" in evidence to watch tv. You must watch it in bed unfortunately. Good wifi. No free breakfast at all. The parking is free and easily accessible. Free coffee in lobby.

Spent 4 nights here while visiting Charleston and Sullivan's Island. Booked into a family suite which as an unexpected surprise. Quite, clean comfortable, older building. Separate bedroom, bathroom and large living room. Refrig, microwave, tv's, coffeemaker. Perfect for several days and all hotel rooms in downtown Charleston are in the $250/night range. Easy trip in and out of the city....

We were first put into a room next to the "mechanical room" by a not-so-friendly desk clerk. There is no elevator, and the ice machine on the second floor was broken. We could hear a dripping sound coming from the mechanical room, so they moved us to another room down the hall. The second room was okay. The facilities were...

We often stay in military lodging and especially like Air Force lodging, but this was not up to the Air Force standards. The room was not cleaned well, the carpet stained, and the tiny freezer needed defrosting, making it even smaller. The bathroom was very old and dirty. If it were not for the good price, I would not recommend...

Cost of this room was 1/3 of Charleston hotels. Room amenities were good and cleanliness was certainly not an issue. There is coffee in the lobby but no comp breakfast of any sort. Also, no elevators for 2nd, 3rd floors. If mobility is a problem, request first floor. Location is about 10-12 miles from historic district and traffic can be...

After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about the condition, cleanliness, and customer service, but all have been good. The property is close to the gym and the restaurant. Golf and tennis and many jogging paths are close

We stayed at the Inns of Charleston at Charleston AFB while visiting the city to attend a funeral. That might have set a bad tone for us. Our room was one of the smallest we've had while on a military installation. The AC was not working so a fan and an open window provided us with our climate control. They...
