So disappointed!! Woke up to find a bed bug walking on my sheets. I understand this can happen in hotels but this hotel did not want to acknowledge there was a problem. They tried insinuating that I must have brought the bug with me. They checked the mattress and insisted the blood stains were wine. I kept telling them I saw a live bug and killed it but they did not seem to care. They heat treated my luggage and moved me to a different floor. I would have like to be refunded for the night that I slept in the infested room , they did not and actually did not even pay for the laundromat to clean clothes. I threw out all my luggage to be safe .
We recently stayed at the French Quarter Inn for 3 nights. We arrived early and checked our bags. We got a couple of excellent lunch recommendations and were told our room would be ready in about an hour. We had a very nice room right off the lobby. We could not get over how quiet our room was. Also very spacious, both the main room and bath. And very comfortable bed! While the hotel may seem pricy, when you factor in the marvelous breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese and evening milk and cookies every day you can’t go wrong. Great location and super staff. Staff went out of their way to accommodate. We needed a wheelchair for my wife to get around and they provided a very nice collapsing one at no charge. We had a nice visit to Charleston, and the French Quarter Inn had a lot to do with that feeling.…
Enjoy this elegant property perfectly located close to everything Charleston has to offer their tourists. The staff is helpful and friendly. The beds made with wonderful linens are comfortable. Enjoy complimentary breakfast in the Courtyard, complimentary happy hour and even complimentary cookies and milk in the evenings. Treat yourself to a stay at this inn…you deserve it!
Located in the middle of the French Quarter (as you might imagine from the name), Very nice hotel, great staff (albeit a bit understaffed). The entrances leave a little to be desired with the lack of cleanliness but the warm welcome from the staff was nice. The rooms are nice but nothing to write home about (given the lack of any real "views" from the room and the older furniture). The breakfast was disappointing as it is buffet style ala a Hilton Garden Inn. Nothing prepared fresh, just put out on a buffet for the guest. Scones and muffins were blah. Not worthy of the almost $500 a night price tag. The saving grace of the French Quarter Inn is the location and the staff.
This hotel is a real gem. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we felt like royalty. The amenities are outstanding. I brought my 3 college age girls and they loved it too. I would stay here again and again. Thank you for such a memorable stay for all of us. Just wonderful.
Came for a mother/daughter get away. This is a fabulous hotel. It is small, beautiful, great location. Staff is amazing. The breakfast, wine and cheese and cookies and port were an added bonus. The items provided at all three were beautifully presented and of very high quality. You can walk to everything from here. We felt very safe even when were were out very late. I can't say enough about what a wonderful place this is and I plan to tell all my traveling friends to stay here.
The FQI was the perfect elegant hotel for our adult family vacation. It was our first time in Charleston and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in assisting us with recommendations and arrangements for restaurants and activities. Kim, Jenny, and Emily were all attentive to our needs. The breakfast buffet options provided ample variety to please any palate. I especially enjoyed the fresh berries with yogurt and their delicious granola. The evening happy hour includes an impressive array of cheese, crackers, and hors d'oeuvres if you happen to be around for that.
Perfect Hotel in the perfect location. All that Charleston has to offer is within walking distance and for those who would rather not walk, the Inn offers bicycles to take you anywhere you want to go! The French Quarter Inn is not only beautiful and luxurious, it is also warm and welcoming, exactly what you would want and expect from a Charleston hotel. The amenities are above and beyond... a champagne welcome at check-in, wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres at happy hour, warm cookies and milk at bedtime and a delicious breakfast in the morning! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and with a perfect view of the St. Michael's clock tower, incredibly charming! The Hotel's personnel were knowledgeable, personal and accommodating... we truly enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again upon our return. We HIGHLY recommend this Hotel.…
Had an excellent visit, service & room was wonderful. Wine & Cheese cocktail hour fantastic. Had a nice stop off at the South Carolina Aquarium just a short distance from the hotel. Definitely will stay with them again.
I live in Charleston, so when I had an out of town guest, I just wanted to have a mini stay-cation and show her some southern charm. French Quarter Inn was the perfect place. The room, the staff and the service was exception and I could not have asked for a better experience. It is walking distance from almost everything, with restaurants, entertainment and shopping very accessible. You would not be disappointed.
