My husband, daughter and I stayed for three nights. The location is good-not quite in the heart of the Historic District but close enough for walking everywhere. The first day our room was never cleaned, which meant the next morning we could not make coffee because it was never replenished so we had to go downstairs to buy coffee. I...

We stayed at this property for a wedding. We had a great view from our king suite on the top floor. Located on the corner of Calhoun and Meeting, almost anywhere downtown is within a mile of the hotel and easy to walk to as parking in downtown Charleston can be an issue. There is a daily parking fee at...

This is a nice Courtyard, everything seemed new. Great location at the top of Meeting Street and a block and a half off of King Street. Plan your meals and coffee elsewhere, the restaurant coffee shop has terrible service. It felt like we were imposing on them to order something. Took forever to put together a humus order.

This Courtyard is a nice hotel at a good rate that is located within walking distance of many attractions. That's all great, but let me tell you that the not-so-hidden gem here is the concierge, Kevin McQuade. We might have missed him if it weren't for the sign in our room that listed all the reasons to stop and see...

Booked this room based on a wedding block. The location was good as far as downtown Charleston goes - lots of history, restaurants, etc. Parking is extremely limited and you are charged daily for it, even when having to park off property (this was an issue with the unusual weather during our stay). The facility was clean, as were the...

We came to Charleston on a four day multi generation getaway in the Winter and chose the Courtyard Marriott for its great proximity to the King Street shopping district, Museum of Charleston, Visitor's Bureau, and ferry to Ft. Sumter. The hotel was very decent and the staff worked hard to be helpful and accommodating of our needs. We were able...

The location is great, but the hotel needs lots of fixing up. Some specifics: (1) multiple grungy stains on the carpet - see photos; (2) inadequate laundering of towels - see photo of suspicious red spot on towel; (3) dusty air vent; (4) moldy shower. Wouldn't stay here again.

Philip R, I am glad you enjoyed the location but I sincerely apologize for the other issues you had with your room. This is not indicative of our property at all and I am truly sorry you had this experience at our property. I will be meeting with the appropriate team members to ensure this was an isolate incident as...

Good location at the top of the Historic District, nice walk to the Market, East Bay restaurants and King Street shops. Great, friendly front desk and concierge staff, but house cleaning service a bit uneven. We're still upset with corporate Marriott for changing their Courtyard business model several years ago ... no complimentary morning coffee or breakfasts!

Hi Keith T, Thank you very much for the review of our Courtyard Charleston Historic District. While I'm pleased to read you enjoyed our location, and great staff, I'm disappointed that the Courtyard brand model does not meet your expectations. I do hope you'll give us another try when your travels bring you to Charleston. Jim Fournier General Manager
