My granddaughter and I did a mini-road trip to Charleston and we both thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It is easily within walking distance to all of the wonders of this delightful, historical city. I highly recommend using the services of the excellent Concierge, Andrea Brennecke. She is excellent. She made recommendations for walking tours and restaurants and then made reservations...

My husband and I took our 16-year-old granddaughter to Charleston in early May to celebrate her special birthday. We booked the hotel in early March. Being loyal Marriott customers, we chose this hotel for several reasons. First being the rave reviews about Kevin McQuade, concierge. Second, was the fabulous location - within walking distance of nearly everything we did. Since...

My husband, daughter and I stayed here and we enjoyed it so much we added an extra night! The location is perfect for walking to the market and King St. it was so easy to get in and out of with a 6 month old to go for a stroll or go to eat! We were only scheduled to stay...

The room and bathroom was well designed for handicapped guests making it much easier to navigate coming and going. The staff misinformed us when we checked in (twice) regarding the snacks and coffee available. When you pay this much for a room, I don't think you should get nitpicked for the coffee.

We stayed for 3 nights. We could walk to everything- The Market, Battery Park, King Street, all our dinners, Patriots Point to get the ferry to Fort Sumter. The staff was friendly. Starbucks in the the hotel, We did not use the bistro food in Charleston is too good! I especially liked the parking the back. It is not Valet...

Courtyard HD was a great choice for us , the hotel was perfect for our needs. But for us what makes a hotel shine is the people that run it. Obviously the location and the conditions are important but I remember people more not the quality of my scrambled eggs. From the minute we arrived ...the gal at the front...

Great, friendly staff, which is typical of Marriott. But the room was worn-out, and not worth the money we paid. Their breakfast bistro is a good idea but the staff was overwhelmed at times. We are loyal Marriott members but will stay somewhere else on our next trip to Charleston

Staff was friendly and responsive. Room was spacious and wile not updated still more than acceptable-and a good size. Unfortunately in an area of lots of construction so noisy and not always easy to navigate around it. Within walking distance of lots of shops.

King suite extremely nice. Trip was topped off by the helpfulness and great personality of staff member Danielle. She helped me get in my room and even reminded me I was forgetting my keys when I left. Much appreciated after a hectic meeting. :)

The good things about this hotel is that it's in a great location downtown, walking distant to shops, visitor center, covered market and the aquarium. It was very clean except for a spot on the carpet in our room and the room was a nice size. The drawbacks were the room was not ready by check-In and after one day...
