The Fulton Lane Inn is a lovely B&B in a great location, in the heart of the shopping district and close to some really good restaurants. The entrance is a little difficult to find since it's tucked away in an alley. The lobby is a little small, but the folks at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. Check-in...

Great location, attentive friendly staff, rooms were nice and clean though ours (216) really didn't have a view. Free breakfast delivered to room was a really nice touch as was the cocktail hour held daily at the neighboring residence. Cons: Not overly historic; once you're inside the building it doesn't appear to have much of the original architectural detail. Also,...

Typical southern boutique hotel in a terrific location, central to everything. Immaculate and spacious, our room was quiet and the perfect temp. We also loved the breakfast brought to the room daily and Lisa at the front desk was charming and professional.

It was a little difficult to find the entrance to the Fulton Lane Inn, but once I walked down the alley or "lane", I found a beautifully maintained historic inn in downtown Charleston. The inn is centrally located within walking distance to sights and restaurants. The room was very beautifully decorated with a working fireplace and king-sized canopy bed. We...

The Fulton Lane Inn is in an ideal location on King Street in historic Charleston. From the Inn you can walk to any number of shops and restaurants. You will have trouble finding a bad meal - the food in Charleston is fabulous! The Inn itself is quaint but spacious with lovely period decor and well-appointed bathrooms. There are some...

Iʻll admit that I really do love southern hospitality! A friendly, warm greeting is awaiting you at Fulton Lane Inn. They offer happy hour wine tasting and cheese everyday. Our room was nicely appointed, clean and quite large. Itʻs centrally located and walking to historic Broad street is easy as well as other points of interest. And after a very...

We found this place originally using discount travel website that doesn't tell you the name until after you book but have since booked it again directly because we liked it so much. I have been to Charleston many times and never noticed this hotel, it is located off a lane/alley and you would walk right past it but that would...

Fulton Lane Inn is in an ideal location for exploring downtown Charleston, SC. The major plus is that they have parking for the inn and its sister hotel Kings Courtyard Inn. Parking is at a premium in downtown Charleston, so this was a must for me, as I was driving in. Parking lot is located directly behind hotel so no...

We had a 2 queen room (took my daughter & son-in-law). Big rooms. Every night you put out your breakfast coffee/pastries requests and it is delivered bright and early every morning to your room. It was our anniversary and my daughter graduating college for the visit. The INN left us a bottle of Proecco. . This INN is 2 blocks...

My teenage son and I were in town to tour the College of Charleston during their accepted students program. I booked a room at the Fulton Lane Inn solely based on its proximity to the campus. What a serendipitous discovery! The room was large, clean and quiet and the hotel is quirky and historic. Parking was off-street. We enjoyed a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn. ... more   less
