When in the Charleston area, the Fulton Lane Inn is my go too. The location is central to the best restaurants, shopping and many historical sights. The staff is welcoming and friendly (my favorite is SuSu!) and they are always available to help or answer questions. The rooms are charming and spotless and breakfast is brought every morning right to...

Delightful and Convenient! The Fulton Lane Inn brings history, charm, comfort and convenience to a visit to Charleston. First their parking lot is off of Market Street and just a block from the Charleston City Market. Plus only a few steps away from the Inn's entrance. So convenient! The historical Inn is well appointed and our 3rd floor room 318...

Location was great. We walked to many spots and took the trolley a few times. We had a quiet and comfortable room, great bed. Breakfast is delivered to your room which is a nice treat. I only wish they had better coffee. There is a breakfast place next door which has great coffee. We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at the Fulton Lane Inn. A little hard to find (you must GPS the parking lot!) the inn is located in an alley between King & Market Streets, but once we settled in the location was a huge plus - on King Street (but in the quiet antique district) yet a two-minute walk from...

Booking online, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect -- an easy walk to all the historic sites. Parking was a problem when I first arrived but after that was staightened out I had a fabulous time. The lady working the desk was kind and friendly. I mentioned that I wanted to...

I wanted to book a B and B but the rates at the Fulton Lane Inn were preferable. I was very happy with the decor, cleanliness and service here. Breakfast was delivered to our room each day. We could have gone next door for the same breakfast, but it was a treat to have it in the room. We had...

This is the place to stay while visiting Charleston. Small, charming property with a friendly staff. No front desk to check in, staff sits right by the elevator. Complimentary extended continental breakfast each morning in your room or at their sister property next door. Complimentary wine and cheese every evening. A true delight.

We stayed at the Fulton Lane Inn for my birthday. We have stayed here a couple of years ago and thought it was lovely. This past weekend we were disappointed. While the room was large and had a fireplace it was also dusty and smelled musty. Our shower curtain was covered in mold. I did request a clean shower curtain...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A romantic hideaway in America’s most enchanting city, The Fulton Lane Inn is private, intimate and exceptionally accommodating. The Fulton Lane Inn surrounds you with the comfort and gracious ambiance of a bygone era. Many of our spacious rooms feature oversized whirlpool baths and luxurious canopied beds, draped with hand strung netting. Other rooms boast cathedral ceilings and several offer fireplaces.Throughout, soaring windows frame captivating vistas of the city's historic skyline, punctuated with the many trademark church spires. The charm and spirit of the Old South live on in this historic inn, built by the family of Confederate blockade runner John Rugheimer. Regarded as the most sophisticated city in America, antebellum Charleston was the cradle of Southern gentility. The proper Charleston home then welcomed summer's casual pace by covering formal furnishings in airy muslin, replacing wool carpets with sisal, and positioning shutters to admit fresh breezes and to provide gentle shade. At the Fulton Lane Inn, that spirit has been beautifully recaptured. Here, light filters softly through louvered shades, casting an inviting glow on lush plants. The patina of fine woods, natural textures and soft pastels invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of a more gracious time. During your stay, you'll be pampered with complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. Our traditional Southern hospitality continues with sherry in the lobby each evening. Of course, our concierge is always at hand to attend to your every need. You're just a mere stroll from the famous harbor, historic homes and attractions. The Fulton Lane Inn is situated just off King Street, tucked away on a pedestrian lane in the heart of the city's famous historic district. The inn is literally surrounded by countless fascinating boutiques, scores of antique shops and elegant restaurants. There are countless ways to enjoy the Fulton Lane Inn. ... more   less
