Loved this place. Very quaint. Old style furnishings but clean bed and bathroom which is very important to us. Wished we had stayed here longer one night wasn't enough. Breakfast was fantastic especially eating it on the patio. Friendly and helpful staff. HIghly recommend if you want to stay close to all the historic sites within walking distance or take...

We stayed at the Barksdale House for our honeymoon. The rooms were gorgeous, clean, and spacious. The location was perfect, we were within walking distance with everything without being in all the commotion of downtown. If you are looking for a quiet getaway stay here its worth it.

As other have mentioned it is a little pricey especially at the weekend but the location is excellent. Our room in the carriage house (13) was lovely and spacious however a couple of small things could make it better. First the air-conditioning was very noisy, especially when it cut in and out and this stopped me sleeping at times. Second,...

We had the "red" Room No 8. It was the cheapest one, so it was quite small and only had a Full Size bed (which might be quite small for a "bigger" couple). But it was a very lovely room with everything you need for a city-trip. The house is lovely, perfectly situated (just a 5-10 min walk to the...

I'm usually the one to stay in a big hotel, but the prices in Charleston are insane! So, I tried a bed and breakfast, thinking that this might be outside of my taste. This little Inn was beyond the best choice I could have made. We arrived super late, like 11:30 pm late and they had the key left with...

I've stayed here twice. Once last year, and again recently. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon here last year (Oct 2012), and we came back this month (Oct 2013) to recreate memories. Bad Decision. We tried to check-in early to see if our room was available, but it was not. That's totally okay, but the one female staff member...

B&Bs never appealed to me but prices at nearby hotels drove me here...and I was not disappointed. We were on the 3rd floor which was nice because we could enjoy each floor as we walked up. I can't compare to other B&B's but it had a lot of character to me... And the staff was quite pleasant to us...

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad that you considered and enjoyed a small Inn for your accommodations while visiting Charleston. We hope to see you again!

Nice place but dark inside. The bathroom had a light fixture over the sink with what looked like three 15 watt bulbs. When in the shower with the shower curtain closed it was quite dark. Breakfast was light buffet style, not the usual B&B'S breakfast.

The staff were super friendly and helpful about restaurants in the area. The afternoon desserts were wonderful and we would definitely stay here again! Our room was cozy, clean and comfy. Breakfasts were great -- especially on the weekend when they featured hot items.
