What a beautiful place! The rooms were beautiful, the location was beautiful and the breakfast can not be matched! Will definitely be returning to this wonderful B&B! The staff here and at their sister inn, Cannonboro Inn is impeccable! We reserved several rooms at both of these inns for our wedding and were greatly impressed! Will be back!

Our routine now for our Charleston visits is to stay at the Ashley Inn, for location, quality and experience. The Inn feels like coming home for us - this time we stayed on the third floor (not a problem, but if you don't like stairs requests a lower level). The beds and linens are wonderful, bathrooms totally adequate (remember, this...

It was my first time visiting Charleston and the Ashley Inn provided a warm welcome to the city. I was traveling alone, and the inn keeper was great about directing me around the city and where to find some great food within walking distance of the inn. I arrived early and they allowed me to check into my room. The...

My girlfriend and I visited Charleston for Spring Break last March. I needed the brief vacation from my 2nd year of law school, and she needed a getaway from work. Neither of us had ever been to Charleston, S.C. before and both of us were excited to explore the city. We were both 24 years old at the time, and...

I am baffled why you would write this review 9 months after you stayed with us. I have to think this isn't even a valid review. I am sorry for your disappointing stay with us. I would appreciate a phone call to discuss this with you. 843-723-8572 Lynn Mumau Chief Innkeeper

The Ashley Inn was a meeting place for us as we met family and friends in this central location. We were very impressed by the charm of this inn, the cleanliness and the location. Although it wasn't in the heart of the historic district, it was a few minutes away by car, we especially want to commend Erin, the young...

Ashley Inn has a wonderful charm of "old South" hospitality and the prices are reasonable. Everyone was treated as family by Barry Carroll, the proprietor, and offered helpful suggestions for the best places to eat. His knowledge of the areas history was extremely interesting. When a problem arises, he offers immediate accommodations to make your stay as pleasant as possible....

We stayed here for four nights. Our room was located on the second floor, room #5. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our time here. The staff was very friendly and attentive. For breakfast in the morning there were two options and they were always made fresh to order. The afternoon wine and appetizers were a nice precursor for...

Thank you for the warm review! The "happy" hour time of day truly is a great time for our guests to mingle and relax. It is a wonderful feeling when I hear everyone chatting and laughing with each other. You were here right at the end of our very busy season and we really didn't have time to do much...

The staff was great as were the rooms and breakfast. We will definitely be coming back! We loved that our room had a door the second floor piazza. Gorgeous views and easy to find. Breakfast in the morning was perfect!

Enjoyed my stay there. I had the room on the first floor, and it was very comfortable. That room is perfect for one person, a couple might find it a little cramped, as there is only one chair besides the bed. Very good breakfast prepared after you get to the table so as to be fresh and hot. A good...

We were a young couple staying in Charleston on holiday for 3 nights. Ashley Inn was just perfect for our stay - easy to get in and out of town (a 20min walk, which helped us walk off all the fabulous southern food); Susan was excellent in all her assistance with tour options and bookings, nothing was too hard. We...

We had an enjoyable time with you also! Thank you for the kind review! I think being out of the bustle of the busy historic tourist district is much better to come back to relax on the porch and sip a glass of tea or wine makes for a wonderful stay for our guests! Please stay with us again if...
