My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at the Ashley Inn. We stayed in a suite upstairs the first night, and then in room 3 for the other 4 nights. Both rooms were good sized, very nice, comfortable, and clean too. We were a little worried about not having a car for two of the days, but upon arriving...

This was my first time in a B&B. The Ashley Inn is everything I expected from a B&B, and hoped for, as well. The house is a historic home in Charleston, just north of the MUSC complex. It has a lovely wraparound porch and delicate little garden outside to greet you. The interior is elegant. High ceilings, period furniture, but...

Our stay at this B&B was for 3 nights. The home is beautiful just what you would expect from a B&B. However, the home is located on the corner of Ashley & Bee Street and the noise level at night is very loud. We had one night in particular there was police activity on the corner and it sounded like...

A step back in history. Berry Carroll, the owner was a treasure trove of information. The food and all around service was excellant. The whole staff was friendly, helpful and all around charming. We had a wonderful time. The only drawback was, we had to leave to go home. Nancy and Michael Binning, Palm Coast, Florida

The Ashley Inn was a perfect landing pad for our weekend get away! Erin's scrumptious culinary delights were a treat for both breakfast and happy hour! The room was comfy and cozy, gave us the ideal spot for our battery recharge after all of the sight seeing. We'd highly recommend the Ashley Inn!

We rented the house which was attached to the B&B. It was a perfect set up since there were two couples (4 adults total). We had plenty of space to spread out. Unfortunately, there was only one shower (1.5 bathrooms) so that was my only complaint. I know older homes have smaller bathrooms. The hosts, owners, and servers were all...

Charleston ended up being a pit stop while traveling from the Mid-Atlantic to Florida and what a perfect pit stop it was. The Ashely Inn made our visit that much more enjoyable. The house and gardens had all the charm I expected. Modern renovations don't take away it's historic details. The inn keepers were as pleasant as could be. The...

Located in one of Charleston's historic neighborhoods this Inn is within easy walking distance to many activities. We parked our car at the Inn and walked everywhere during our visit. The Inn is well maintained and clean, the grounds beautiful and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Nice breakfast each day and the afternoon social hour a plus with...

We stayed in the Ashely inn a couple weeks back in the carriage house. We found the main home to be beautiful and historic. Staff was friendly. The wine and homemade chocolate in the afternoon was really nice! Breakfast was good but nothing remarkable. Unfortunately we have a few negatives. The most disappointing thing was the toilet paper and cleanness....

Thank you for your comments…..we take all of our guests comments seriously. We certainly appreciated your favorable comments and wanted to respond to the others. As you are aware the Ashley Inn was built in 1832 before bathrooms and plumbing was installed. The plumbing that is current in the house has be updated from it’s original installation but has numbers...

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful house and rooms. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The staff was excellent, very fun to talk to and they gave great recommendations of places to go eat and check out. Great location, many places in walking distance. We'd stay here in a heart beat again!
