My wife and I and another couple stayed this past weekend at the Carriage House at the Ashley Inn (Friday & Saturday nights). Ultimately, our stay was issue-free and a decent value for what we received (Bridge Run weekend). There were some things that could/need to be changed to really provide a better experience for guests. The Carriage House is...

We booked our reservations nearly 8 months in advance and enjoyed our stay at this B&B ( a four day, three night stay). When we arrived, we were welcomed by staff and shown to our rooms and briefed on where things were located. My mother travelled with us and we had rooms 4 and 5, located on the second floor....

I wrote a review with 900 words describing how wonderful this place is and it never posted. So I'll just say briefly the help was incredible attentive- the food the best tasting breakfast ever- my room lovely and comfortable- the dining room and house tastefully decorated old fashioned and beautiful antiques- the location great for nearby excellent restaurants I could...

We have traveled to Charleston many times over the years but decided to stay closer to the downtown area this time. Ashley Inn is a beautiful home, well priced, however definitely needs some updating. First, Charleston is known for its beauty, especially its outside porches and gardens. This place has beautiful porches, however they were filthy and in the three...

Be sure to look at the pictures attached to my review. They're worth all of the following words, and then some: I am an 80 year old widow on an extremely fixed income. I saved my pennies for a trip to Charleston with my cousin and her husband. We booked the carriage house portion of the hotel which is connected...

It is truly disheartening to read the depths of the comments written. I am sorry your experience was not on par with the vast majority of our other guests and apologize there was not more that we could do to satisfy your needs during your stay. We are thankful that there were other TV's available for you to watch and...

The Ashley Inn B&B is located on a very busy street with a lot of traffic noise from the street so it is unpleasant to sit out on their first and second floor covered porches. You also hear all that traffic noise inside your room. The common areas are very pleasant and the morning breakfasts are different each morning and...

The Ashley Inn is an excellent B&B. It was good value compared to some of the other Charleston area B&Bs as well. The room had the high ceilings that you would expect from a house built in 1832. It was spacious yet cozy. The attached bathroom was nothing special but then you don't really need it for much. The concierge...

Very, very nice. Quaint and comfortable, just what you would expect in this historic era inn. Room #1 is for early risers but the doorway to the front porch is wonderful. Breakfast was delightful ( Jesse was terrific ), not too much and beautifully presented. Manageable walking distance to college, King st. and the Battery. AND OFF STREET PARKING!! Will...

Beautiful house and grounds, with off-street parking. Very accessible location. Our room had a canopied four-poster bed which was very nice. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the sumptuous breakfast as we had an early morning flight from Charleston Airport (a 10-minute easy ride away). The Innkeeper was very pleasant and professional as was the staff we encountered. Much nicer than...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ashley Inn and once again, they did not disappoint! The carriage house was roomy and offered plenty of space for our entire group of 4. The location is in a great neighborhood, just a few blocks from Hominy Grill. The house is charming and the breakfast was delicious. The staff...
