Very, very nice. Quaint and comfortable, just what you would expect in this historic era inn. Room #1 is for early risers but the doorway to the front porch is wonderful. Breakfast was delightful ( Jesse was terrific ), not too much and beautifully presented. Manageable walking distance to college, King st. and the Battery. AND OFF STREET PARKING!! Will...

Beautiful house and grounds, with off-street parking. Very accessible location. Our room had a canopied four-poster bed which was very nice. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the sumptuous breakfast as we had an early morning flight from Charleston Airport (a 10-minute easy ride away). The Innkeeper was very pleasant and professional as was the staff we encountered. Much nicer than...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ashley Inn and once again, they did not disappoint! The carriage house was roomy and offered plenty of space for our entire group of 4. The location is in a great neighborhood, just a few blocks from Hominy Grill. The house is charming and the breakfast was delicious. The staff...

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb and the afternoon snacks in the common area were a pleasant touch. The room was cozy if not particularly large. The location was ideal, within easy reach of the downtown destinations and also within walking distance of the marathon start, the occasion that brought us to town in the first...

Innkeepers, Janelle, Ashley, and June provided true southern hospitality and charm at this lovely historic B&B. Accommodations were cozy, comfortable, not too fancy, just right. The evening wine and cheese added a wonderful beginning to evenings out. Other guests were gracious and many interesting conversations happened over an outstanding hot breakfast each morning. Lighter fare available too. Could not have...

January 1- January 8 stay (low-season) Purpose: pleasure I stayed as a single traveler and a friend joined for the last two nights. I would recommend this place to many types of visitors as it was a close (and enjoyable) walk to King Street/many other attractions while in a lovely and safe residential area. Delicious restaurants all around the area...

We stayed here for 3 days over Xmas, I usually write my reviews with some flowing text, but in this case I will just write the Cliff notes for purposes you will gather. Don't book the second floor rooms if you have any kind of knee or hip problems, stairs are many and steep. Bed in original room was broke...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on a trip up the coast to visit my family in North Carolina. We stayed in room 3. Positives: --Friendly owner (was there for breakfast, very personable) --Good location (close to several nice restaurants and a short walk from several of the main streets in downtown) --Off-street parking Negatives: --bathroom was...

We stayed at the Ashley Inn for 4 nights on our first visit to Charleston, SC and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ashley Inn is awesome! We LOVED the breakfast. It was included so we expected something small and just edible enough to hold us over but the breakfast included big, delicious meals like peaches and cream crepes, fresh fruit...

We had been to Charleston before and stayed in a large hotel- this time around we wanted something more typically Southern and charming. The Ashley Inn was a great choice.. Adorable rooms with verandas, a delicious breakfast (we had banana rum French toast with sausage and fruit), convenient parking, good location (a 5 minute Uber ride to the Market area...
