I've reviewed this hotel multiple times, as I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. Travelled here again this past weekend(11/18-11/20) to visit some friends. First off was not recognized as a Silver HHonors member, charged for water by the front desk. What was particularly interesting was a $2.13 parking recapture fee. Allegedly for parking lot upkeep. This hotel has been open for a number of years and are not charging guests for upkeep of a parking lot they SHARE with an attached restaurant? Are patrons of the attached restaurant charged a for parking lot upkeep as well?? I could see paying for upkeep if it were a gated lot that offered some sort of security, but is not. Anyone can park in the lot, even people visiting the Mexican restaurant across the street, the T commuter train, or the Honey Dew donuts across the street. Additional fees, resort fees, and Parking recapture fees are going to be the demise of the hospitality industry! How about taking the cost savings from lack of daily housekeeping, dated interiors, and overcharging for a formerly complimentary breakfast and re-investing that in your making lot??? There seems to be a contest between the Hyatt Place in Warwick and Hilton Garden Inn in Warwick to see who can piss of their loyal guests the most!…
Have stayed at this hotel a number of times when visiting Warwick Rhode Island. It’s close to the airport, just off Interstate 95 and has plenty of free parking. Mobile check in was kind of rough but after reaching out to the hotel had no issues. When we got to the room it was neat and very clean. Only problem being no toilet paper. Went to the front desk for TP problem solved. The only complaint I have is with the toilet paper. It was more like sand paper. Reminded me of the cheap Scotts Toilet paper our parents used because it was safe for the septic system. I know in the future to bring my own.
As a Hilton Honors member I booked this hotel for my work trip to PVD. That was an epic fail as every attempt to utilize the WiFi from my room produced a lag in my notebook's apps from working. I called the front desk constantly, they tried to fix it to no avail. They then sent me to their WiFi call center where some overseas individual tried horribly to fix the problem. When they could not do that they then told me they would escalate my call to their supervisor who would call me back. 4 days later and still no call, SMDH. I had enough and just put my out of office on and turned off my notebook for the day. The next day I decide to visit family. Before leaving my room I saw the cleaning person who was cleaning the room down the hall. I asked him as I never stayed here post pandemic if they clean the room or if I need to inquire with anyone about my room. He told me " no we clean all rooms daily". With his response taken as fact I left believing my room would be cleaned through the entrance bypassing the front desk to the parking lot. When I returned my room was not cleaned nor did I have towels replaced for my shower that night or the next morning when I was checking out. When I complained to the front desk they told me I needed to tell them I needed cleaning. I explained that I inquired with their own housekeeping personal to which they made some excuse about the gentleman being new. At that hour housekeeping was gone and all she could do for me is give me some towels. After now two issues at this hotel I decided to go to sleep and just head out in the morning back home. Well as bad luck would happen sleep would be lost on me. I experienced and recorded what appeared to be banging on pipes throughout the night. It was as if hard water or air was trapped in the pipes somewhere. This noise kept me up most of that night. Needless to say sleeping was not going to happen. I checked out early morning because of all these issues. Too make matters worse the hotel staff who was very much made aware of all my problems during my stay remain very nonchalant about things. They made no effort to compensate me for any of my inconveniences. As is always the case when one writes a negative review I am sure the hotel will offer some rebuttal excusing them for their lack of customer service. Too little too late I say. Instead of writing a response to make excuses for your lack of attention and care for your guests perhaps resolving my issue at time of service would have been the ideal way to go here. I most definitely will not be returning here.…
Stayed at this property due to a wedding nearby. The hotel was very quiet considering its proximity to the airport. Not walkable from the airport. Great restaurant/bar connected to the hotel. Rooms were clean. Directly across the street from a donut shop and Mexican restaurant. Would stay here again should the need arise!
Hospitable, clean, friendly, awesome customer service, comfortable furnishings and good location, near highway, airport and train station. We chose this hotel as base-camp for our daughter’s very large wedding which was held nearby. They flawlessly accommodated & coordinated our large room block and helped us with some special requests. Just a wonderful overall experience! We will definitely choose this hotel when we are next in the area.
I only stayed from September 2-5, my shortest visit since a one-night stay at another hotel. Room 200 was nice and clean. The breakfasts were reasonably priced, and worth it. The two breakfast chefs went above and beyond to provide guests with hearty breakfast options. I also liked the fact that my room had a shower and not a shower/tub combo. It made showering much easier. The only problem I had was a minor one. There was an insect crawling along the laundry room floor when I went there to wash my clothes. Since there was just one, I dealt with it in my own way. There were no little pests anywhere else. I will definitely return and stay a little longer so I can visit more towns, museums, and other sites.
Enjoyed our stay at this very modern and clean hotel. Last time here was 9 years ago and hotel feels new so it’s been thoroughly renovated. All rooms same size so no suites available. Staff professional, helpful with finding places for dinner and lunch. This HGI had an on site restaurant and unlike all other HGI’s during this trip, it was open for dinner and appeared congenial and busy. We wanted a waterfront seafood place for dinner so didn’t try it. Breakfast prices higher than at other HGI’s but not exorbitant, was told they’re based on market prices. Breakfast host (Brian I think was his name?) was excellent! Will stay here again!
Me and my family loves to travel and this is one of the cleanest hotels we've ever been to. The hallway and carpet and the rooms smell clean. The bathrooms are very clean which was important to us. We will come back again.
We recently stayed at this hotel while visiting friends in Rhode Island. While hotel is clean and staff friendly, it fell short in ways that would make me not want to return. First shower had low pressure and head that minimized water amount. It was not a good experience. The breakfast was expensive and of very poor quality. Tasteless scrambled eggs, cold oatmeal that was supposed to be hot, watered down orange juice, and water with black specks in it that didn’t taste right. For $16 it was a waste. The hotel is located across from parking garages so setting was not attractive. I would stay elsewhere if we returned to the area.
Clean and nice accommodation. They were flexible regarding a change of date for me as well. Attached restaurant was good too although we only ordered to go. The area seems generally safe although there doesn’t seem to be a ton to do without driving into Providence. We only stayed one night as we were driving through. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful
