My daughter and friend stayed for two nights and were very happy with the accomodations. Convenient to downtown - walk to waterfront, restaurants and shops just around the corner. Newport just a short drive over the bridge. They would definitely recommend the Lionel Champlin!

I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful, relaxing guest house. All the rooms are very clean and inviting. Rusty and Lisa were always willing to please us in many ways, they made sure we had umbrellas and raincoats when needed. Breakfast was always a wonderful treat. After a day of exploring Newport and Jamestown, it was so good to...

I had the opportunity to stay at the Lionel Champlin Guest House in early October 2016 on a girl's weekend. It was so cozy and so clean. Each room has its private bath. Lisa and Rusty are wonderful hosts. There was something of interest around every corner. It was easy to find a quiet spot to read - or an...

We liked the feel of Jamestown Rhode Island from the minute we got there, and the Lionel Champlin Guest House was pretty easy to find. Rusty our host gave us a warm welcome, which was all too brief as he was heading off for the evening to see Bruce Springsteen with his wife. But prior to that he showed us...

The is a hidden gem in Jamestown. Unlike many guest houses or B &Bs, They offer Tv in some rooms. The hosts are delightful and offer a terrific breakfast on Thursdays. An easy walk to several great restaurants and the Jamestown-Newport ferry. Be sure to visit the Rose Island lighthouse if you take the ferry.

I have stayed at the guest house before and am always very happy with my time there. All the rooms are clean and with private bath but the Twin Room is my favorite. In the morning you open the shutters and there is the sparkling bay and Newport. Lisa has a wonderful breakfast treat of muffin or bread and a...

I stayed with a friend in the twin room. The whole house is warm and inviting and the hosts are wonderful and make you feel welcomed and at home. Hot coffee, tea, fresh fruit, baked breads, all wonderful. Very quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend.

Our trip took us to Newport RI and we did not want to stay with the "hussel and bussel" of a big resort town. The Lionel Champlin Guest House was the place. Lovely clean rooms with private bath, great coffee in the morning and a wonderful front porch to put your feet up and relax. The people are great and...

Very friendly people - very nice rooms. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic house. It was very quiet and relaxing. It's located close to the sea in a wonderfully peaceful setting that is a million miles away from its hectic neighbour Newport RI. A great place to stay if you want to wind down for a few days.

Auntie's Room was clean, quiet and comfortable! Owners are very nice and of course it's always nice to be able to walk out the door and down the street to the water and restaurants. The nice big front porch was welcoming after a day traveling and the concert down by the water was a pleasant enjoyable surprise.

Thank BarreSue

“There isn't a bad room in the house; our extended stay was in the Rose Room but we have done shorter stays in the Captain's Room, which is our favorite. It has a huge dual station Tuscan bath and an elevated seating area perfect for a quiet time reading.”
