We booked overnight spa packages for a girls weekend at Heritage Hills. It was a great deal for everything that was included. The hotel, restaurant and spa staff were all very accommodating, friendly and fun. Many of them went above and beyond to make our...More
Because our wedding was early on a Sunday morning at the Terrace Room at Heritage Hills, my husband and I (along with a number of our guests) decided to stay at the hotel on property. Because we were the bride and groom, getting an early...More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We look forward to having the opportunity to host you again soon!
The hotel was average in our books, but the price was expensive. We had a business trip and this was the closest place for us. There were multiple wedding parties going on so we had to navigate that crowd. The room was clean but did...More

The Harley Davidson factory is about 5 miles north and offers tours. My in-laws are not bikers, but they had a lot of fun. York has a minor league baseball team that plays in the historic downtown (the Articles of Confederation were drafted in York, so there are historical markers and buildings from pre-Revolutionary War).
Gettysburg National Park is 35 miles west. Hershey, PA (35 miles north) has an amusement park and chocolate exhibits. Codorus State Park (25 miles southwest) offers all the classic summer fishing/hiking/boating recreations around a big lake. Several museums (e.g. watches/clocks and railroads) are in and around historic Lancaster town (25 miles east).
And yes, Lancaster county has tourist-friendly Amish and Mennonite sites and shopping (produce, dairy, woodworking, antiques, textiles). But if it's summer, I'd recommend just getting lost on back roads to the east and south of Lancaster town. That's the Pennsylvania Dutch land that is so pretty--highways 23, 340, 772, and anything smaller than those. And watch out for horse-drawn buggies on the roads!
