Its dated, the unit I was in was very dirty , old furniture , old appliances , propane heater rusted old and non-operational , i had to light a torch to get it going , front desk closes at 5 pm and you are on your own after that. staff is good , respectful and helpful but they cannot change the carpets that's dingy and stinky or the doors that lack a lock to it. This resort needs serious updating.
Arrived after 5 and had to figure out ow to access the unit. The unit had mouse feces in all of the kitchen drawers. Staff was VERY apologetic and we switched units. The new unit had dead and live bugs everywhere. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty as were the pots and pans. The plumbing would switch from cold to scalding hot while showering and one evening the water was brown and un-useable.
Stayed here in August. Unit is old, 80's. Staff was excellent, grounds were clean, amenities, were so, so. If you just want to relax, go for walk, read then it was fine. There were some good restaurants within a short drive. Golf courses were good, no problem getting a T-time. We played "Panorama". All in all, not bd but plan on driving mountain roads to go anywhere or see anything.
this is truly the definition of getting back to nature. Definitely hit the grocery store on your way in as its about 30-40 minutes out. Peaceful, and beautiful just to take a walk and relax. Fire pits and grills available which is really nice. Mini golf and a game center in the check-in as well.
The resort itself is OK - the 2 bedroom units are large, with private bathrooms for each bedroom. We knew the rec center (and pool) were closed, but the outdoor amenities were outdated. Office closes at 5pm, so you can't do anything after that, although we did find corn hole bean bags. Many things in the area were closed/cancelled due to COVID, but the D&H trail ride was nice. It's probably a great place to stay for skiers when all the amenities are available. With so much closed, there should have been a discount to stay.
Though this resort is in the middle of nowhere, nowhere is not as big as you might think. Elk Mountain is only two miles away for skiers but for day trippers Binghamton to the north, Lake Wallenpaupack to the east, Scranton to the south and Tunkhannock to the west are all easily reachable. There are also many small hamlets closer by, the scenery is great and there is no traffic to speak of.
Modest mountain resort that is a great location for skiing at Elk Mountain, which is a nice family ski destination in the Eastern PA mountains. Resort staff was friendly, helpful and ready to assist when we needed something. It was disappointing that the pool and game area (including the laundry facilities) were closed for renovation but the staff let us use their housekeeping facilities so we could wash clothes a few times. We had a decent amount of snow during our stay and we discovered a leak that wet the living area carpet (which was obviously not a new incident as we could see stains from water damage.) Other than some maintenance issues, the rooms had queen beds and a good amount of closet storage and drawer space for your items. There is even a sauna and hot tub in the room for post-ski relaxing. Be warned that this resort is definitely not near very much to do--Scranton is not far, however most museums and points of interest were closed due to COVID. This resort and the mountain are in a very rural area in a hilly area and we were glad that we rented a truck to drive up there. The snow and ice was challenging and restaurants are definitely a good 15-20 minute drive, as well as grocery and shopping. The resort did have games to borrow and sleds for the kids to play on the hills in the area.…
Resort is dated but undergoing some renovations. Externally the buildings need some sprucing up. Not much to really do at the resort itself. A fire over a year ago destroyed the recreation center and pool area. No rebuilding going on. Our unit was nice sized and adequately furnished and supplied. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Numerous things to see and do in this area of NE Pennsylvania that can be done on day trips from this location. If you ski, Elk Mountain Ski Area is very close by for winter sports.
Endless Mountain Resort has outstanding location and service, with amenities appropriate to the location. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped. Helpful guides to local eating establishments are provided.
I book here for a couple's getaway. the resorted offer a fireplace Jacuzzi and Sauna all featured in the room. However, the Sauna and the fireplace did not work. the had a contact number to call for any issues due to the staff not being on the premises after 5pm. called and no one ever shown up. The unit it self was ok. even though the beds were to small for two adults to sleep comfortable.
