I've had some really agreeable experiences with Red Roof Inns, and I particularly appreciate their pet-friendly policy. I think the last one I stayed in was in Cortland, upstate NY, and I was quite happy. This place in Trevose isn't much different, essentially, though the architectural layout is different. But still, it's the same 2-story motel, where you can park right in front of your room, to be able to unpack and pack the car easily. The beds are comfortable enough, the linens and towels are clean, there's a widescreen TV, a fridge, a microwave, a tiny coffeemaker with coffee pods - all that's missing is cream + donuts! EXCEPT for one BIG PROBLEM: THE ROACHES! I WAS STUNNED! I've stayed at a lot of non-first-class hotel/motels - even crummy hostels + YMCAs when I was much younger - and I have never, EVER, seen a roach in my room. I've met some ill-mannered proprietors or staff, but never roaches! (LOL) And I'm not talking 1 or 2 -- I killed 3 adults in the bathroom and 3 juveniles, and when I came out of the bathroom, I saw one in my cat's carrier, and one running away from the litter box. I went to get a glass of water to take medication - there was a roach in the sink. Do NOT blame the problem on my cat! We've traveled from Philadelphia PA to Ottawa Ontario and much in between, and never a roach to be seen. What, did Covid change the cockroach genome, so they are slowly taking over?? The horror!! I know it's hard to get rid of an infestation, but, full disclosure: entomology is a hobby of mine, and my husband has a degree in the field. It is possible to eliminate them, but it does take more of an effort than just some insecticide once a month. Sealing all baseboard plumbing holes, Combat discs, borax, diatomaceous earth, eliminating all food sources. The food is particularly difficult, because roaches are omnivorous and eat all sorts of weird stuff, like some paper, or glue. So much for sleep. Just past 4 AM and the insects have induced such distress, here I am, writing another review. In conclusion, I like the Red Roof chain, I got a $64 deal through booking.com, it's basically a good motel - just bring some Combat discs if you decide to stay at this one! Good luck!

Stayed here one night. Woke up the next morning with MULTIPLE bug bites on arms, face, and back. I’ve stayed here in the past without issue and it was late when I checked in. I was too exhausted to do my usual checks for bed bugs. Never again. Be wary. I’ve alerted the company but as of now they’ve not responded as to what action might be taken. Just be careful and double check the bedding before staying.

Absolutely Disgusting. Checked out after a few hours of checking in. Entered the room with a number of flies everywhere. The ceiling was cracking , bathroom walls were moldy and peeling, reddish brown stains in the bathtub. Room had a musky and moldy stench. Absolutely worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

Please don’t. It smells terrible. It has roaches. And definitely not clean. Smells like a stale old 1970’s vehicle when people smoked in it and rancid puke. Not just 1 room, we had 2 rooms. Front desk was extremely nice. That’s the only positive I give it.

I had stayed here not expecting much because of how much of a cheap price i had payed. But wow, you really get your bang for your buck staying here. First off the rooms meet your basic necessities, nothing was missing, and if i needed more the staff were more than happy to accommodate me. Especially with coffee, i’m a big coffee guy and i won’t lie i was being a pain in the neck for how much i was asking for, but the staff didn’t even bat one eye and gave it to me immediately with great customer service. The service really was the best part. That brings me to my second point, the service was really good. In other bigger hotels they really don’t treat you with the amount of care that a smaller hotel can. But even if a smaller hotel can, most of them won’t. (i guess the money isn’t good enough for them to care). This place is a really good pit stop for traveling on the road and i would suggest them to people who don’t want a long stay but maybe a day or two.

They assigned me 3 rooms that were all filthy. The first one the beds weren’t made up and no towels. The second one the shower curtain was missing, along with all the towels, the toilet was full of human waist causing the room to smell. The tv & the microwave didn’t work, I try to reset the trip button on the wall socket but evidently there’s a deeper problem somewhere on that side of the room. The third room wasn’t made up either, food droppings all over the floor & a big rat having at it on the food on the floor, the bathroom has to towels or toilet tissues. I don’t know why they turn those room over to the front desk as ready to be used but they weren’t. Or maybe front desk knew about them & just wanted to see if they can make some money off of someone just desperate to sleep & just plain tired for the day. This place is sad now, don’t know what happened

Stayed here with a large family group. Booked several rooms. They could not house us all in the same building so that was inconvenient. Rooms as expected. 2 full size beds, mini fridge, TV. 1 of our lamps did not work. 1 of our room #s was written on the door as the sign had fallen off. Rooms were definitely NOT smoke free even though we requested that and the room sign said it was supposed to be smoke free. There was a roach behind the mini fridge. A guest had a fight of some sort in their room and broke the glass on our way out. Don't know what happened there but we were fine. Parking was OK. Staff was OK. Overall as expected. Would have stayed elsewhere but with relatively short notice and a large group for 1 night only it was OK. Can't beat the price. Cheapest option in area.

Thank you for staying with us and giving us your feedback of your stay. We do our best to make the stay with us as comfortable as possible. Whenever we are notified of an issue either by the guest directly or through online, we address the issue promptly. That being said the guest that broke the glass is not allowed to stay with us any longer and the number for the room that was taken off has been ordered. We also put the guests who smoke in or right outside of the room on do not rent list. Our house keeping follow all protocols when cleaning the room, once in a while couple of things are overlooked. We go over the reviews during staff meeting, this way everyone is aware of which areas we have to improve in. Once again than you for staying with us.

This hotel is a welfare dump. Nothing but degenerates of life in this place. On approach to our room, the curtains were off the track because the clips that held it to the rod were broken off. The room was dirty; the TV was on and you could not turn it off, change the channel or work the sound. Asked for another room and this DUMP was booked - with free ride illegals! The mangager and staff were ignorant and unprofessional. At first the manager wanted to give us a refund and check us out then refused. I had to call America Express while standing at the window and make a complaint to get the charge wiped away. Stay away from this place! NO decent human would go there!

*** Very Important! Don’t stay here! *** Management refused to do anything about an obnoxiously loud patron. They told me they would make a note of him and not let him get a room again. They didn't help anyone right then. He got worse as other patrons were telling him to shut up, and he cussed them all out. I lost my temper due to the hours he was doing this, and stomped out on him, ready to fight. If he was armed or didn't take being disrespected, I would be seriously hurt or dead right now. MANAGEMENT HAS TO DO THEIR JOB TO AVOID DANGEROUS SITUATIONS LIKE THIS! The next guy who is in my position may not be as lucky as I was. Room had tagging/graffiti on the door, coffee stains on the wall, broken plastic, paint splattered on the curtain. My buddy in the neighboring room had his toilet clogged, and they made him come down to the desk for a plunger, and they had four staff behind the counter that could have taken care of it. Housekeeping put an envelope with "Housekeeping tips, thanks." written on it, on the counter. On check in, staff were notably untrained, unable to make sense of computer data. I saw a hotel desk staff pick up a phone a number of times that was ringing, and she couldn't connect to the call; it just kept ringing. She did this while helping a patron she had already started with at the desk.

Thank you for telling us about your concerns. If there is a situation with a guest being obnoxious or unruly we address the issue. Most of the times the guest would apologize and we would not have any problems with them. We work closely with the local police department and are instructed not to approach anyone or try to "stomp" them out in a situation like this. We call the police and they would come and handle the situation. We have not had any other complains in person or online regarding this guest who was being obnoxious. I apologies that there were couple of issues with the room you were checked into. I'm not sure if you were given a discount for the issues but if not, please reach out to me at the hotel so I can apply the discounts. We have new employees who were getting trained at one time. So, with all the employees behind the desk only 1 of them was actually working. The reason the phone kept ringing at the front desk is because of the system we have. We have 3 lines coming into front desk and even if you are on the phone talking to someone it will ring if someone else calls the hotel. We thank you for telling us about issues so that we can work on improving on them.
