There are no words to describe how bad this facility is. Room walls are thin so you hear absolutely everything that goes on in the hotel, from conversations at 2am in the parking lot, to closing of doors which sounded like slamming. The hotel personnel, especially the front desk personnel, are the worst examples of service industry employees! They are rude, care more about their breakfast and not being disturbed, instead of caring for a client who is asking for help. Final interaction was having my receipt thrown at me and being screamed at! Final topping on the cake, was writing to the general manager via LinkedIn about the experience and not even receiving the courtesy of a response. There are many wonderful options in the Poconos, please go to any other and avoid this one at all costs!…
I stayed here with my two children and we were so disappointed, and grossed out. The entrance had a huge pile if trash bags that remained through our entire stay. The lobby had cobwebs in every corner, the decking was old, warped and felt unsteady but don't hold the railing unless you want a handful of splinters like my daughter got. The rooms had stained rugs, an inch of dust on all the furniture, hair on the linens and toilet seat. The view was spectacular and you can tel at one time (a VERY long time ago) this must have been a nice hotel. It has potential but they obviously don’t care AT ALL. The gym was a collection of rusted tag sale home workout equipment held together with duct tape. The bridge to the outdoor pool was dangerous and needs repair (Ive seen better bridges in children’s forts). There was an empty water feature that passed under the bridge, but they couldn’t even put water in it. The elevators were shaky and noisy and had no inspection paper posted. My kids took the stairs they said they “ didn’t trust it”. At night I didn’t feel safe, no outdoor lighting, the lock on the slider didn’t latch. The landscape and parking lot was full of weeds snd overgrown grass. There was a restaurant but there was NO WAY I was eating anything that was on the property. Couldn’t leave fast enough!!!!…
I booked 2 nights & after driving far & hiking all day the guy at desk told me I could check in he saw my name on list and to come back in an hour because he had no internet. All I can say is WOW needless to say I then at 7:00 at night had to scramble around to find somewhere else to stay. Don’t waste your money or your time here the pictures look nice and that’s about it, I have tryed calling to talk to the manager here and get put on hold or no one ever answers the phone I gave up trying to d’Irak with someone here bc clearly no one cares. Save your self some aggravation and scroll past this place. I wouldn’t even give them one star but had to in order to put a review on here
Stayed on June 30, 2021 with my wife. As we were preparing to turn in for the night my wife found body hair and food in the bed linens. We advised the front desk of our findings and was given no response. I asked for a copy of our registration, was told they can't give them out. Will be our last stay.
I wanted a motel room near the NASCAR track in June 2021. I tried to book the room about 3 weeks in advance of the race, but most local motels were full for this date. This hotel had rooms available for $128 including tax and fees, so I stayed here. When I arrived at night I could not figure out how to check in. I drove around the parking lot looking for a sign indicating where the main entrance is. There was no sign, not for the entrance, not for the office/ lobby, and not even for the name of the hotel. So I parked and walked into a door that seemed more prominent than the others. The lobby was nice. The room was okay. I had booked a handicapped room with king bed. The room was small, plain and unremarkable. The TV was small and positioned low, perfect for poor viewing from the bed. The closet was not a closet but it was a cheap metal clothes tree on wheels, set out in the room. Not sure if this is related to handicap designation. There is in-room coffee but no microwave or fridge. The huge handicap-appropriate bathroom needed more furnishings and something to enliven the blank walls. Back near the lobby I noticed that the hotel's bar was open at 9:30pm, but I didn't use it. I walked around the outdoor pool after dark, and it seemed very nice and people were enjoying it. Near the pool there is a large wood deck overlooking a pond, with views of the ski mountain nearby. Breakfast was available but not included in the room price. Breakfast started at 8am on a Sunday, which was too late given my plans for the day. I just used the place as a quick sleepover. I would not choose this hotel again, but it served the need and the price was okay.…
