Room was clean. It had a modern architectural feel to it. Parking was well lit. Lobby was very welcoming. The manager, Keyur Patel, took steps to personalize our visit by asking questions and recommending local eateries. We were celebrating a milestone and he took the time to highlight it which made our visit more special.
We made a reservation for 2 nights, a Friday and Saturday evening in July, then subsequently learned we need to attend a memorial service early on Saturday morning, at a church close to home. I tried to modify our reservation online; a message was returned saying the hotel was sold out for Saturday evening, This did not make sense - I already had a reservation for Saturday - and Friday - I just needed to change the reservation to one night, Saturday. I called the hotel directly, reaching the front desk. The woman I spoke with, who gave her name, was very polite and understanding, and tried to modify to just Saturday, but she could not. She didn't stop there, though; she put me on hold (after asking my permission to do so, and called her manager. She then got back on the line and advised me all had been taken care of, but the rate would change (increase) for the one night. I understood that might happen, and told her that would be fine. She told me the reservation had been changed to one evening. I requested an email confirmation of the revised reservation. She agreed to have it sent after confirming my email address. No email arrived for 30 minutes. I called back, spoke with the same young woman who said she'd been attending to paper work and had not yet sent it. I explained I need to be assured of the revised reservation, so she said she would send it immediately. Still no email confirmation. I called back again, and she said she was unable to send the revised confirmation email, but she would ask her manager to do so, and call me back to advise that it had been done. She did call me back, saying that her manager would send the email "within the hour". I didn't understand why it would take up to an hour to send an email, but I thanked her, said I would call back in an hour if I hadn't received it, and hung up. At this point I was extremely frustrated, and after waiting exactly 50 minutes, I called back, spoke to the same young woman who expressed surprise (or confusion?) about why I hadn't received an email confirmation of the revision. In fact, when I looked in my Choice hotels account, NO MODIFICATION had been made to the reservation, although I had been told at least twice that it had been modified to just Saturday. She said that was what she was seeing 'on her end, too'. She said she'd have to talk to her manager to get the email sent (as she had said before), and in fact her manager was walking in the door 'right now'. I said I wanted to speak with him, and she said she'd give him the phone. At that point, a gentleman got on the phone and said 'hello'. He did not give his name nor his position. It took him a minute to get on my concern, then said he was going to take care of the reservation 'now'. I said I was told I'd be receiving an email confirmation; he replied it was still 'within the hour'. And indeed it was, but as said, since I was told the reservation HAD been modified, I thought 50 minutes was sufficient time to send an email. At this point I was so frustrated with the incorrect communication (the reservation had NOT been modified though I was told TWICE that it had been; I was very turned off by the lack of professionalism/business protocol on the manager's part) that I told him I would simplify everything and cancel the entire reservation. He said that was my choice. Again, indeed it was my choice, brought about by some of the worst customer service and lack of professionalism I've encountered.…
Completely renovated, extremely reasonably priced, eclectic gem of a hotel. Awesome customer service/staff, clean and with wonderful beds, linens, towels and pillows. On the negative side: there was not enough light in the bathroom to shave, the shower pan does not slope to its drain allowing the pan to partially fill with water and there is no microwave provided. Parking is plentiful, secure and the spots are both extra wide and deep. We are not fans of the Grab n Go breakfast. It is time to move on from COVID.
Hotel is in a great location. You can walk to almost everything. Coffee shop across the street. Rooms were clean and newly renovated. Bed was comfortable. Main Street can get pretty noisy on the weekends but the street view is entertaining.
Room was appalling..holes in the walls , old dirty caulk in the shower. And the showers leaked. Our room was never cleaned. And when we inquired at the desk, several guests were asking the same question. No one cleaned it. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear walking above and talking from other rooms. My husband and I have traveled extensively throughout the states and abroad, this ranks as one of the worst rooms.
