Staff is really nice and the hotel is clean. Good free breakfast. But it clearly needs some upgrades. The key entry for the first room i was given didn't work. The electricity in the room I ended up in blew late at night, with sparks flying from the outlet when I turned a lamp on. (Fortunately the bathroom lights worked,...

Creepy retrofit from an exterior motel to in an inclosed version. Can not open curtains, unless privacy is not a factor. First room smelled very moldy, but very helpful front desk staff quickly moved us to another room (which was less moldy, but not great). Forced hot air heating system was quite loud and when it kicked in it was...

As a family with 3 young kids, the pool and gigantic atrium where the perfect places for hours of swimming, playing, and socializing as we rang in the New Year. We'll be there again the welcome in 2017.

This is our second stay at the State College Ramada and it's been great. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. We like staying in this area because of the nearby shops and restaurants. It's our go-to stop now on our way to NY from Chicago.
