Starting with the elegant old style library a great place to enjoy drinks and hor devours. Wonderful shrimp, bruschetta, prime rib.... Dinner started with a tastey salad, my filet was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. Service was excellent and my glass was always refreshed.

Have known about this place for years and finally stayed and ate there. One of those places with a decor and comfort level and great service that you don't often find. Dined on wild salmon and partner had pasta with meat sauce. Both were some of the best we have had in years. Very nice wine selection and you start...

Torn bedspreads, torn chairs, torn and frayed lamps. Has business correspondence sent here and they have a policy NOT to sign for packages - that's funny they have before. X 5. Housekeeping does not address rooms, had to change my own sheets, no help with ones bags, no one at the front t desk which is in a closet. Left...

Dear MsWearyTraveler, We regret to hear that you found our hotel not to the level of your expectations, following several prior visits for which you commented on very positively. Our unique boutique layout does not in fact include a formal front desk, rather a personal greeting in the lobby area with the computer system located in our office. Our staff...

My husband and I dined here for our wedding anniversary and will absolutely return! It was a perfect dining experience from cocktails in the library to personalized dessert! We both had shrimp cocktails (HUGE delicious shrimp) and the filet mignon. I have to say, the steak was far better than what the local "steakhouse" restaurants offer. A beautiful restaurant, very...

We have stayed in many hotels in the State College area for years, but never had the pleasure of staying here. I booked the room six months prior to the Penn State spring football game and got a great rate for a Saturday night. The Carnegie Inn & Spa doesn't seem like its in State College; it has a resort...

This lovely inn near State College succeeded our expectations. We simply loved everything about our stay and, at that time, wished having allocated at least another night. The place is so comfortable and homely we didn't want to leave it. Our room had more than 7 different places to sit besides the massive king size bed, and we don't even...

My siblings and I spend 2 nights here every year, just the four of us, as a yearly reunion. This is a beautiful hotel with elegant rooms and suites, a first class restaurant, and wonderful attention to detail. Little touches like drinks and complimentary hors d'ouvres in front of the fire while we waited to be seated for dinner always...

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each visit has been good. The vibe is that of a large bed and breakfast... personalized service, large porch, lovely onsite 'fine' dining and spacious rooms. The building sits on a golf course and across from a workout center, which is nice... Great location within 10 minutes of downtown PSU so...

The Carnegie Inn is one of the nicest hotel s that we have ever stayed in. The hotel has about 20 rooms and reminds you of a B&B in New England. The hotel appears to be fairly new. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very friendly young lady who checked us in. We were given a second floor room...
