Great stay staff were helpful and friendly.Room was clean fridge was cold. .Didn't make a waffle had a coffee and a bagel.. Short stay but would book it again. Staff and location prompted this review. I am appreciative the service

Stayed here when moving my daughter into her apartment for her last year at PSU. Hotel is close to shopping and restaurants. Nice, spacious, clean room. Bathroom was a bit strange in shape and layout but got the job done. A refrigerator but no microwave. Could have been rated higher but there was no maid service, so downgraded. I did see maids servicing some rooms, but I guess that was just those being prepped for new arrivals. Also had WiFi issues - the network disappeared so I called the front desk to see what was happening. They had no clue - tried to tell me the name of the network, etc. I knew that, was on a little while earlier, but the network was gone. It was out for hours.

Clean, decent hotel for travelers. Incredibly nice, professional front desk people who actually seemed to really like their jobs (not a given in the budget range of hotels). Beds were comfortable; bathroom was in good shape. Note that the rooms do NOT have microwaves, only fridges; there is a communal microwave in the breakfast area. Only big negative is the door-opening mechanisms are apparently all failing. My card got a green light, and the handle went down, but the down wouldn't open. I thought maybe I was trying to get into a room that was deadbolted, so I went back to the desk, and the super nice desk person said that I needed to lift the handle up to get it to work. Would have been nice if he had mentioned that when we checked in, especially since the problem is currently affecting many, if not most, of the rooms. We couldn't utilize the included breakfast due to dietary limitations, but the desk person enthusiastically recommended the diner directly across the street (The Waffle Shop) and it was fantastic. And if you get in to town really late like we did, the Walmart up the street (between the freeway and the hotel) has a HUGE grab-n-go refrigerator case just inside the grocery-side door (salads, sandwiches, cut fresh fruit cups, etc.), and the front desk will give you plastic utensils. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, especially for the price.

Exceptional value for the $. Cleaning staff attention to detail was beyond hotels I've stayed at that charge 2x, or more. The cost per night was under $100 so my expectations were low; and it's an old building that changed hands from quality inn to Days Inn. But, staff were efficient at check in. No hassle when I had to check out early. Adequate parking. Well lit. Breakfast met expectations - coffee, toasted bagel, yogurt, OJ. Don't expect fresh fruit w/steak & eggs or greens galore - it's not that kind of service. But, the waffle maker was going strong. Would recommend. Will stay again.

Clean rooms and great location but with huge mechanical problems. My room along with several other guest rooms had no AC. The rooms were saunas and the windows could not open. Went down to front desk and they where aware of rooms not having AC so they kept emergency rooms to change guest. My question is why not verify rooms have AC prior to guest arrival. Front guest staff also told me that various other items in hotel need fixing and a lot of stuff is falling apart like multiple AC units through hotel and hallways, vending machines all out of order. As of right now my stay was not worth a penny to pay and the only fox was to change rooms but does anyone want to change rooms for the exact same issues. Various guest states they changed to find the same issue. I decided to stay in my room but family got no sleep and stay was not worth a penny. Learned a huge lesion. Travelers beware and make sure you check AC prior to unpacking.

We did a quick overnight trip to PSU and enjoyed our stay at this Quality Inn. The rooms were nice and appeared to be newly remodeled. I made our reservation with the hotel directly and Samantha at the front desk was very friendly, patient, and helpful. When asked, she even suggested a great place for dinner (Otto’s Pub and Brewery), which I highly recommend and wrote a review for as well. When we arrived, Michael was also very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was varied and plentiful. There was fresh coffee and tea available all day/night and a refrigerator in the room, which were nice and unexpected amenities.

Not much to say here, and can't believe I'm going 5-stars for a Quality Inn, but I really had no complaints after staying here on a Friday evening during the State College Arts Festival. In fact, I must say the king sized bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. I still don't know why hotels don't provide king size pillows for a king size bed (that really irks me), but a quite comfortable bed nonetheless. And, if you're interested in drinking downtown, the Lyft/Uber fare was < $10. Nice. We actually overslept into Saturday morning, but the friendly front desk gent allowed us a late check-out - perfect. I'd probably stay here again, considering it's one of the more affordable properties in town.

Thank you for your feedback. We replaced our beds in March of 2020, so they are brand new! We have heard many times that we are the BEST Quality Inn that someone has stayed at. We hope to see you again this year for the annual Festival of the Arts.

The Pros here were a clean room, a very well-functioning, quiet air conditioning system and a powerful toilet that would never need a plunger. But...the room had the worst-smelling and bad-tasting tap water just about anywhere in the U.S. Front desk said the city has a chlorine problem. To me it smelled like mold. One of the four LED lights in the bathroom flickered more than occasionally (EVEN AFTER THE LIGHTSWITCH WAS TURNED OFF - but only for a few seconds). The bathtub shower was an odd 5-sided wedge shape that was awkward to move around in. I was told bag-and-go breakfast in the morning, but a tasty cold breakfast was served, with several good selections, even a hard-boiled egg. Maybe my saying something had struck a nerve?

State College has very bad tasting water. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do as a business to alleviate that. We do have ready to heat breakfast sandwiches available from our guest services agent upon request with a few signs indicating so. We hope to see you again so we can exceed your expectations.

The room was dirty. A used washcloth was left draped on the shower rod, and the toilet had other people's hair in the rim and on the seat. I was surprised by this lack of attention to basic hospitality details, as I've stayed at the hotel before. It's difficult to imagine this business surviving with so many other hotels in State College offering clean accommodatons.

Michael, I disappointed to hear we did not exceed your expectations. I will most definitely be speaking with my executive housekeeper about the issues you had in your bathroom. Since you stated you have stayed with us before, you know this is not the way we do business. We hope to see you again soon so we can exceed your expectations.
