Stopped here with friends after visiting the nearby zoo, Living Treasures, in Donegal. Outdoor seating was very nice and relaxing. We ordered typical lunch food (sandwiches with fries or homemade chips) and it was very good and reasonably priced. Service was a little slow, but waitress was very nice. I particularly enjoyed drinking out of the large mason jars. I...

Thank you for coming to Foggy Mountain Lodge for lunch. Please when you return for dinner introduce yourself to my wife and I. Thanks for letting us know about the delay in the service, I will look into that as we want everything to be perfect. Regards Jim

This is a restaurant review only. Wife suggested we get out of Murrysville to a drive into Mountains and dinner. Was there on June 4 We had an early dinner at 5:30 pm making a reservation. Drive up was about an hour. Took the TPK out of New Stanton to Donegal. Then about a 10 min drive from the exit....

Thank you for your nice review. Your review makes my wife and I feel our efforts are worthwhile. Actually the winters are not all that bad, Penn Dot and Cook Township Road Crews take care of us. Of course then we always have rooms available. I think you would enjoy having dinner next to our wood burning fireplace. When you...

beautiful location that my wife and I really enjoyed. Great staff and the reservation process was very easy as was the check-in. It was everything we had hoped for, for a private week-end get away. The room was quite cozy, grounds fantastic, rural, and private, and very clean. The lodge and restaurant are rustic but also modern and friendly. Great...

I was with family members, and went here for dinner. Great food, liked the mason jars for drinks. Very scenic. Good service, but waitress was overworked, serving inside, as well as outdoors. Very pleasant though

About forty miles from home, but well worth the drive. Every time we drive to Ligonier, we make a point of stopping at the Foggy Mountain Lodge. Always feel welcome here. Shannon ( waitress ) makes you feel comfortable, like your talking to your sister. You get your drinks in a Mason Jar, and most of the time I end...

I have visited the restaurant 5 times now and highly prefer it to any other joints within 20 miles. The soup, salads, and appetizers are all great and i have yet to have anything bad from the menu. Service has been slow a couple times but the food has always been great. My wife loves steamed shrimp and we had...

I took my wife here to spend the night during a birthday getaway I planned for her. We checked in around 5pm on a Saturday and had to do so at the restaurant because the office was already closed. I was handed the keys and given minimal information. Our Cedar Lodge room was roomy, well maintained, and reasonably clean. After...

Thank you for our critique of our Country Inn; it is always good to take a step back and look at our rooms from the standpoint of the guests. Please understand that we are a privately owned Country Inn, the folks in the office leave at 3:00 so they can change clothes and work in the restaurant in the evening,...

Was a little p'd off that they ruined my wedding night by blaming my new husband and I for something we did not do! We were in our room after our reception and fire alarms went off. We got blamed when we didn't leave our room. There was also another wedding party there. Will never recommend this place to anyone....

We read your comments with great concern. We need further information so we can respond to you as we have no recall of the incident you are speaking of. We called our alarm service and we had no fire alarm activations in September, 2014. We need more information to properly respond to you. Secondly, you refer to another wedding party....

This review is just for the restaurant as I did not stay at the hotel. We had a very large party there this weekend, and made reservations in advance. The service was extremely slow and they kept saying it was their busy time, but other than our table there were only two other tables so I could not quite figure...

First I want to apologize for my late response. Your review of "Very Slow Service Average Food" is a concern for us as these are two areas that we concentrate on. We have a vivid memory of the party you were involved with. The reservation was made for 16 people. At the last minute the organizer of the party called,...

The suites are just a little better than the average mountain cabin you might rent. Rustic for sure, full of hand-me-down type furniture from the 70's or 80's. Could have sworn one of the headboards used to be the kind attached to a waterbed! Kinda dusty, but clean enough rooms. Would be REALLY nice to have refrigerators in the rooms....

I apologize for the delay to respond to you. Thank you for your kind words on Foggy Mountain Lodge, but your concerns about the furniture truly concern me. The suites were built in 2006 and filled with furniture from a furniture store that was going out of business. We have updated several rooms in the suites over the years. I...
