My husband and I stayed to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We chose this location as it was close to a couple ski areas (we wanted to snow tube) and the ski hotels were really pricey and looked cheesy. The good: The building is just beautiful. We stayed in the D.B. Zimmerman suite. It was very large and charming. Almost everything...

Where to start....on our way to NY from NC, we planned a side trip to visit Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. While searching for a B&B, found this beautifully restored inn in Somerset. It was meant to be because the one room we selected, Lizzie Zimmerman, was available for our two night stay. Upon arrival, the staff was very...

The Georgian Inn of Somerset is just off of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset, Pennsylvania. If you have ever driven the turnpike through this area, more than likely you have seen it. It is a 101 year old building, very well restored. If you are the type of B&B traveller who likes history and older buildings, you will love this...

My ladies club went to tea at Georgian Inn. We were seated in a sunny room just beyond the main dining room. We were a party of twelve and had one server who was pleasant and bright. Tea (raspberry honey) was served in teapots and refilled at our request. Instead of a tiered table presentation, the tea sandwiches were plated...

We were on a visit that was sort of a getaway weekend. I did not know the place but the web page looked interesting. This place is a fantastic gem of an experience. This is not your roadside econ lodge but it is very convenient to the turnpike interchange. The price we paid was very modest. We were in the...

We arrived for a 2-night stay at the Georgian Inn with a dinner reservation for Sunday. Owner & innkeeper Chuck informed us that the kitchen was closed due to illness. He called in substitute chef Craig, and with server Amy's professionalism, opened the otherwise EMPTY restaurant on Monday for our party (wife & me). The full menu was titled with...

First, come here to be part of history. This is a building from 1915, so enjoy as that period would have enjoyed. If older architecture disturbs you, move on, but if it fascinates you, enjoy it. Great building....Great personal service....Great food, and did I mention Great personal service. You will be accomadated. We live in Somerset and this was a...

This is a historic inn. The room was spacious and the innkeeper gracious. The bathroom could have been cleaner as the floor was sticky. The food in the restaurant was average and breakfast was included.

You won't completely escape the Turnpike Exit lights and chain service enterprise sprawl but elevated above it on a hill and convenient (1-2 minutes) to the highway welcome relief awaits in an authentic, gentile setting. The amenities are good, staff pleasant and accommodations comfortable!

Whether you need breakfast, lunch, dinner, or an overnight stay including breakfast, this is the place. We were so lucky to have bumped into this fabulous place. Needing a place to eat, we pulled off the Tpke late morning/early afternoon, googled local places and made two calls but were drawn to the Georgian because of the young woman (Tammie) who...
