Our experience was exceptional. Proprietor's Jeff & Karl made us feel right at home and were a big help with our plans for visits and sightseeing around town. Our room at the Inn was big with a comfortable four poster bed, high ceiling, armoire, dresser, private bath, table and plenty of chairs. Breakfast room was like being thrown back to... More

From the moment we pulled up to this beautiful late 19th century mansion, we fell in love with its gracious beauty. Our host Karl welcomed us and made us feel right at home. He told us about some local attractions and gave an excellent suggestion for dinner at a nearby pub he liked to frequent himself and it did not... More

Inn on the Mexican War Streets calls itself a boutique hotel, not a B&B, and that was attractive to me as one who does not relish around-the-breakfast-table socializing. But it had the feel of a B&B: an old mansion once owned by a department store zillionaire, restored with great gardens and nice downstairs common space. Jeff, one of the two... More

Had to spend the night in Pgh for work and wanted to try something different. This Bed and Breakfast was conveniently located to my work and was cheaper than the traditional hotel. It was a beautiful home, the beds were clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is with the breakfast - I always imagined homemade breakfasts at B&Bs... More

Enjoyed our stay!!! The park directly across the street is a nice place for a walk. The mansion is in a very interesting part of the city with many cool things to see nearby. Breakfast was an expanded continental style with several choices. The free parking is a plus.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice over the last couple of years. Both times it was a great experience. Jeff and Karl are seriously the nicest guys you'll ever meet. They're super helpful when it comes to finding places to check out in Pittsburgh. The Inn itself is just adorable. We love it here and can't wait to... More

LOVED IT. Cheapest rate in the city that weekend. My friends and I were visiting from Philadelphia to catch a baseball game. Most hotels were $300-500 for one night! This was well below that and offered a better visit than hotels. It felt like I never left home. It's only a short walk to the baseball and football stadiums. The... More

My family & I enjoyed a wonderful two days & nights here when we visited Pittsburgh last week. Parking was sparse on the roads around the inn when we arrived on Tuesday afternoon, but Surprise! One spot immediately in front opened up, and we stayed there for 2 days. Karl greeted us, and after checking us in, he proceeded to... More

We stayed in Mrs. Boggs Suite, and it was gorgeous, and very comfortable! A huge king sized bed, lovely fixtures and a nice bathroom. The hot water was immediate! All very clean. Karl checked us in and was wonderful, showing us on a map all of the local attractions. I would strongly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Pittsburgh.

My husband and I were at the inn 3 nights to do some site seeing before we biked the GAP trail. We used Uber for transportation to see a lot of the city, which was very convenient. The owners were great, welcoming and so helpful with suggestions. Upon arrival we were given a map with points of interest highlighted. I... More
