A former Benedictine Monastery, the Priory Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Pittsburgh's historic Deutschtown district. Built in 1888 (with a new addition which opened in January 2011), the Priory offers late 19th century historic ambiance, with all of the modern amenities, including flat screen televisions, in-room safes and coffee service, and complimentary hard wired and wireless Internet service. The Priory is within easy walking distance of many Pittsburgh attractions, including the Andy Warhol Museum, National Aviary, PNC Park and Heinz Field, and is less than a mile from downtown Pittsburgh. The Priory Hotel offers a complimentary European-style Continental breakfast every morning; parking is complimentary as well. Don't feel like leaving the property? Our Monks' Bar is open daily, and you can enjoy a cool drink in our cozy sitting room (with a wood burning fireplace), or out in our garden courtyard.

We had such a great stay here. The hotel was beautiful and the service was top notch. Every single person we encountered ~6 demonstrated they really cared that we enjoyed our stay. There were several unexpected gratuities we received that were a nice touch. I totally

Picked this hotel because we enjoy boutique hotels and supporting independent hotels when we can. Beautiful building! Room 206 was nice & clean- carpet a bit shabby, bed slightly creaky. I’d assume it’s one of those that hasn’t been renovated? Shower nice. I wonder if anyone

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are in the process of renovating the rooms in our original wing and 206 is on the list. There is no paranormal activity in our hotel that we're aware of, by the way. :) Thanks again for your review.

Does this hotel still offer the bus shuttle to and from the penguin games?
We just stayed at the Priory last week and the shuttle driver was able to pick us up from somewhere. However, he was already booked for the hour we needed driven to the event so we had to take a Lyft. But the answer is yes so long as somebody else doesn't get to him first. It's first come first serve and you cannot put the request in a day in advance. I tried. But ten to one, there's others going to the game, too, so it would probably all work out.

Hi Mark, We had a queen room so can't answer your question. A quick call or email to the hotel could answer your question.

Hello. There are bathrobes in the guest rooms. It sounds like you may be on property. If there are no robes for some reason, please notify the front desk and they will be more than happy to bring one. We apologize for any inconvenience if that was the case.

Hello. I am responding on behalf of the hotel. Thanks for your question. The Priory Hotel is located in a thriving residential neighborhood called Deutschtown. If you are interested, you can find more information about the neighborhood at the website deutschtown. While people's perceptions of what is "safe" in terms of their surroundings differ, the vast majority of our guests enjoy walking around the neighborhood and exploring what it has to offer. If guests prefer not to walk, we offer a complimentary shuttle which takes guests to the National Aviary, as well as many of the other sights and attractions in Center City Pittsburgh.
