Stayed here after attending a concert at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ which is less than 10 minutes from there. The room was clean with plenty of linens. The bed and pillows were so damn comfortable that I didn't even want to get up in the morning. I did not get a chance to see their complimentary breakfast because I was in a rush to leave, but I will definitely try it next time I come back.
This property isn't a 4- or 5-star place, but it doesn't claim to be such. For the level of hotel it is, my husband and I loved it. Staff was great and everything about the property was clean and well-cared-for. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the bed was fabulous. We didn't stop for the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Our only hesitation was that the area surrounding the hotel looked a bit suspicious. However, we had no trouble while our car was parked there. We would definitely return.
I booked this hotel for my Dad to stay overnight to catch the train the next morning. He is 93 and they were WONDERFUL to him. SANDRA in particular was the reservationist who helped me set up his stay. She contacted me by email the minute he arrived at the hotel. I could not ask for more. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident he would be okay there. She even handled calling his taxi to take him to the train station the next morning and made sure he left on time. My father also enjoyed the hotel and agreed that it was a wonderful stay. This hotel is certainly lucky to have staff like SANDRA. We were grateful she was there to help us out. This is true CUSTOMER SERVICE to the highest.
Do not stay at this Quality Inn location. It's not safe nor is it clean (in any way shape or form). We were greeted by a young man who was quick to tell us the front door would be locked for our safety. Hesitantly, we proceeded to our room which we found to be dirty and stunk of cigarettes. We discussed leaving but because it was late and we'd already been driving all day, we suffered through a miserable night, leaving early the next morning feeling worse than we did when we arrived. Looking back we should have just driven through the night to avoid staying here.
Our room was disgusting. The sheets and bed cover have stains all over them, the room smells musty and moldy and hits you like a brick wall when you walk in, the bathroom legitimately had mold on the ceiling and crumbling walls, the bathtub is absolutely disgusting, the ceiling in the sleeping area even had gross brown stuff on it. I can’t even imagine what the breakfast is going to be like in the morning. I’m so disappointed that Sesame Place considers them a partner hotel.
Staff interaction can make or break a stay. I’ve stayed at dozens of Choice Hotels across the country and I’ve never in my life run into a desk worker with an attitude as bad as the woman working at 6am on 5/26/22. She was sitting in her Jeep in the parking lot in a handicapped space when she decided to come to the window. Our room key wasn’t working but she wanted to argue that it was our fault. When we checked out she was absolutely the meanest and most rude staff person I’ve ever dealt with. She has absolutely no business working in the hospitality industry. I tried greeting her with a “good morning” and got a horrible sneer as if she was angry I spoke to her. When we checked out and asked for a receipt, she was horribly impatient and snapped at us. I only hope this interaction was somehow captured on security camera because it would validate how horrible she is.…
We stayed one night and the place is ok. The room was large and clean. It's next to the canal so nice for a walk. The breakfast is a joke - a Jimmy Dean roll and yogurt. Coffee disgusting, both in the room and at breakfast.
This Quality Inn has posted masks required. In the midst of Omicron surges. We put a Do Not Clean in our room because I didnt want housekeeping in there with no mask. Even though we are fully vaccinated, we still wear masks so as not to transmit it to others.
The immediate word that comes to mind when describing this hotel is adequate. If you are looking for a high-class, modern hotel, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a convenient and inexpensive for a short stay, this hotel works. The area isn't the greatest, but that is no fault of the hotel's. We stayed for 3 nights during a trip to Sesame Place. Check-in was quick and easy and the room was outdated but clean. The closet door was broken and the safe was not working, but neither of these affected our stay. The best part of this hotel was the staff. The front-desk personnel were very friendly, especially Elizabeth who was exceptional. The housekeeping was very kind as well and did a great job.
The man in the front was nice. When I first got there we waited cause we got there early. The bathroom smelled horrible. There was used toilet paper in the bathroom shower dirty. We purchased a hotel package for sesame place. When leaving I kindly told the front desk. That the bathroom is dirty and needs to be cleaned I came back and it smelled horrible. At that point after being outside all day I just wanted to lay down. But I didn’t wanna shower cause the bathroom was disgusting. The room also had so many bugs mosquitoes. I checked the bed for bugs. My daughter was bitten like crazy. As well as me. Which pissed me off. Unpleasant
