Roland and Anh are superb hosts: accommodating and engaging, and do everything possible to make his guests' stays comfortable. The home feels historic yet up-to-date with modern conveniences; the gardens are a gorgeous retreat. We've stayed twice while visiting our son at nearby Swarthmore College; now that he's graduated we need to find a new reason to return--but I'm sure...

Roland did everything possible to make us feel welcomed and comfortable during our stay at Alpenhof. Breakfast is delicious and served in a welcoming dinning room. Tea is available at all times. The grounds are lovely! Very close to beautiful state park.

What's special about Alpenhof B & B? 1. Personal service: Trips to and from the airport were arranged, decafe coffee which was requested on day one of our visit, was ready and waiting on the next 4 days, suitcases delivered to and from rooms, and breakfasts are made to order. 2. The location: the grounds are beautifully planted and cared...

Judy --- It was lovely having you and your girls here for the weekend. We are so happy that you had a good time though the weather was less than favorable. You were all awesome guests and we surely hope to see you all again soon. Best to Tish and Sarah. Have a great summer! Roland & Anh

Otto's room is small, but it was just what I needed. The blackout shades on the window made for a sound sleep straight through to morning, the place was quiet and very clean, and Roland and Anh were cool hosts; I hit it off with both of them. Their dogs are great, too!

Thank you for choosing Alpenhof, and for your review! Ironically the namesake for Otto's room is 6' 7" tall! Please do come back and check out the Grand Master Suite and the stand alone Rock Garden Cottage if you are looking for our largest square footage with the most privacy deluxe accommodations. Tall Otto swears by the 2 story vaulted...

The Alpenhof is the most charming, comfortable, and beautiful bed and breakfast we've ever found. A perfect place from which to explore Philadelphia and the Brandywine Valley and the exceptionally cool town of Ambler. Every detail is perfect from the luxurious beds and glamorous baths to the excellent breakfasts in congenial company. Lovely views, heated floors, and interesting furnishings and...

We stayed here while apartment hunting, and my mom and I both loved it! We stayed in Monica's room. Our bathroom was lovely, with soft, fluffy towels, that smelled so good! Roland was very welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, with homemade waffles and french toast, and made to order omelettes. Plus,...

Great location, uniquely appointed home. Quiet, with charming sitting room. We spent the evening talking by the fire. Outstanding made to order breakfast served on a fabulous table, laid with locally made pottery. Our room was a bit small, but there are larger rooms at the inn. This is not just a stopping point, but a destination.

Upon arriving at Alpenhof on a frosty December afternoon, the twinkling lights and warmth of the holiday hearth beckoned us to relax and rejuvenate. We absolutely adore this peaceful place with gentle owners who know just the right amount of relationship care needed. Art, music, tea and a delicious breakfast after a perfect 'plump-bed' night's sleep (and great updated Eco-friendly...
