The Ascot House is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast run and owned by Wendy Codd, in the lovely little river town of Marietta, PA. We booked our reservations months ago, sight unseen through an offer from Groupon and stayed for 2 nights, June 21 and 22. The home has period charm and Wendy is one of the best for providing...

We have been to many, many B&B's over the years, but I have to say Ascot House is now right at the top of our list. As everyone has stated, the succss of a B&B is the innkeeper - knowledge of the area, the accomodations including breakfast, and most important, the ability to make people feel welcome as soon as...

My husband and I scheduled a weekend at the Ascot House last weekend, for our 15th wedding anniversary. We found it on Groupon, and since Groupon is hit or miss, we absolutely pleasantly surprised as soon as we drove up. The house is beyond beautiful. The owner, Wendy was an absolute delight. We haven't had so much fun in awhile!...

From your welcome to your good-buy, Wendy makes your stay a wonderful experience you'll never forget. Before my stay was over I was planning a return trip. The rooms were lovely, the breakfasts were gourmet, and your every need was taken care of. Can't wait to go back!

Ourselves and some members of our family stayed 2 separate weekends. The first time Wendy assured us that the trains came and went, some weekends there were 'none' and some there were many (the night we stayed there were 12 trains). And the same thing happened to our family members. One of the above reviews stated they 'loved hearing the...

I quite agree with the guests that the trains can on occasion be horrible. Unfortunately it is a freight line and there is no schedule. There are many many nights when there are no trains, but also there can be nights when there are a lot - one never knows. It is rare that there are more than one or...

Before making a reservation, I check with Trip Advisor. I trust the reviews, and there is always one or two that are complainers. Not, however, for Ascot House. How could every one be glowing? Well, take my word for it, Ascot House B&B glows! It is in a category by itself. The old mansion has been totally restored, and is...

I will preface this review by saying the town of Marietta, PA is one of the most idyllic towns I have been to in the US. It is a river town and is a charming place to stay if you want to visit the area attractions in Lancaster, Lititz, or York. The Ascot House was built in 1800 and has...

After reading all the reviews that gave Ascot House 5 stars, i wondered just how good is this B & B. Let me tell you...... every review was spot on, accurate, correct, whatever! Amazing, isn't it?! From our first "hello" to our final "goodbye", Wendy went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, fed and well informed...

I came here with my husband from Maryland during the memorial day weekend to relax. After arriving in Marietta, I noted that the town looked deserted, not a person in sight. In this sleepy town we found the bed and breakfast where there was sufficient parking in the front (and back). After meeting Wendy she gave us a tour of...

I decided on the Ascot House B&B because it's just a short drive to Lancaster, Hershey, and Gettysburg--all of the towns my husband and I planned to visit on our weekend getaway. I would highly recommend the Ascot House; the rooms are beautifully outfitted, the breakfast is tasty, the garden is gorgeous, and Wendy is lovely. We stayed in Suffolk...
