My family and my in-laws came here for the long Easter weekend and it was fantastic. we had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the bay while the in-laws were on a powered caravan site. our room was just fine for our stay with fantastic views where we got to watch dolphins swimming in the bay one afternoon. The...

We received great service before we even got there! That continued when we arrived and during our stay! We would definitely return there! We stayed in the upstairs units which were everything we needed for our 4 night stay!

Spent first week of March 2017, amenities very old but very clean, van sites reasonably tight, great position, all staff were great , very helpful, but BEWARE there are Norfolk Island hibiscus trees whose seed pods release millions of airborne fibres which make you very itchy and uncomfortable, one week later we still cannot get them out of our clothes...

Great location right next to town. Short walk to headlands and the beach. Overall amenities befitting for an older holiday park, average cleanliness. Sites are a bit tired but everything works. Office is also a Tourist Info and ladies very helpful. Pathway up the River right out the back but it is not secured access which is a bit of...

Stayed with friends for a week . It's true about the Midgies , the little buggers bite . Just go to the camping shop just outside front gate and buy your bug deterrent of choice . It's super central to town , beach , breakwall etc . Ferry to Iluka is at end of park . Very quiet considering the...

We booked two nights with friends not in school holidays ..... and it was so cramped. It seems people have been coming here for years for fishing and boating and even as we arrived we were greeted by other campers. While this is a friendly thing to do we found it stifling. Many of the campers had been there several...

While the park is in an excellent location, close to beaches, shops, restaurants etc... disappointing, the Council owned park is looking run down. Not much has changed for 20 plus years....Hopefully the new management and proposed redevelopment will make the park more attractive and bring it into a new era. Simple things like not being scalded by water in the...

I'm using tripadvisor to warn other travellers not to stay at Calypso Holiday Park. I have travelled extensively and have worked in the tourism sector for over 10 years. Whilst the location is right in town, the sandflies are the worst l have encountered for a very long time. (The camper van next to us left in the middle of...

We decided to stay at Calyso for it's close location to the shops and Beaches in Yamba. We booked a powered camp site for two nights for our large tent. Plenty of room for us with a grassy space to park the car just across from our spot. A nice place was chosen for us by the wonderful and always...
