This is a good hotel, I found the room and the bathroom clean every day I arrived back during my stay. Yes needs updating but still is good value. WiFi is fast enough and found the bed very comfortable. I had some very nice meals at the restaurant. But had 1 shocker over the 3 weeks I stayed but there...

The Charbonnier is ok if you only stay for a few nights. We used it as a base to explore the Hunter as everywhere else was pretty much booked out. It was exceptional value for the stay however the rooms are basic, although comfortable. The staff were very helpful

Thank you for your feedback. Our staff work hard to make our guests comfortable. As it is only a 20min drive to the Pokolbin area it is an ideal base to explore the area.

Rooms are old and dated. Rooms have a strong cleaning product smell. The WIFI was fast enough and good signal. There is a bar and restaurant which open at 6 pm. Breakfast is available from 6 am. Very basic. Ok to stay but there might be better in Singleton?

Thank you Kai for your feedback. The hotel is now under new ownership and we are beginning to refurbish and update our rooms. At the moment we have standard and superior rooms. Superior rooms are on level 1 with balcony. We appreciate all comments and will endeavour to correct any issues raised.

Found this motel very average on our 1 night stay. Very dated, old furniture, but clean. The bed was dreadful, very hard & old. Turned the shower on & the water sprayed everywhere except on me. Shower floor was also very slippery. Would I recommend it ? No I would rather pay more for a room to get a descent...

We appreciate your feedback. We endeavour to make our guests comfortable and are sorry that your stay was not. Comments we receive are generally favorable for our comfy beds and great hot water pressure in the showers but this of course is a matter of preference.

The room and its facilities were fine and the staff were helpful. Our mistake was not to go out for dinner. The steak provided was well cooked but warming up some frozen vegetable for the sides was well below the standard expected and the price charged.

Recently stayed for 1 night with family , arrived late on a cold afternoon after a long day travelling, and what a warm welcome we received, exceptionally friendly staff , we all immediately felt ' at home'. The motel is dated in a quaint way, but the interior and surrounding gardens meticulous, our rooms spotlessly clean one of the cleanest...

The options in Singleton can be limited, but the Charbonnier is one of the best options. However it is more like a motel than hotel. Best of all the staff are very nice and helpful. On the food front -the room service food is pretty average, but breakfast is good. Rooms are pretty basic. The shower is probably my least...

We booked this motel base on its 4 star rating ?, well it may have been 20 odd years ago and it looks like they haven't spent a cent on it since. The reception area is still looking good but their it ends our room was up a poky corridor which smelt musty due to the laundry at the end...

We prebooked our accommodation, based on what the Charbonnier's website told us. We were so looking forward to a nice room, a nice dining experience combined with tasting local wines. We arrived and found the rooms dreary and very tired. The restaurant was closed Friday and Saturday nights, due to low occupancy. Only menu available was the in-room dining menu....
