We stayed here as part or Ultimate Oz trip and it was the highlight of our week, writing this review 3 weeks later having travelled now as far as Brisbane it is still the highlight of our stay. This place feels like its in the middle of nowhere but is only a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach. It...

This was certainly a unique hostel, mostly for good reasons. It's more or less surrounded by bushland and there are a number of native animals on-site. They were nice to have around, with perhaps one exception being the roosters that woke me up early each morning. The rooms are wooden cabins; I would describe them as cozy, except for the...

This was one of my favourite places in aus! From the beautiful scenery to the friendly kangaroo, it was such a inspirational place! The rooms where small and basic, there where some tent and luxury rooms available. As a young traveller, this was a perfect place to explore! Lots of activities available such as; surfing, sand boarding, offroading and beach...

I stayed here for the Easter weekend with 5 friends. In a nutshell, the owners are fantastic, very helpful and social. The hostel is located a 5 minute walk to the One Mile Beach, in very open green, leafy grounds.. a very peaceful location. Lots of kitchen and social space with BBQs to cook outside. There is a pet kangaroo...

Quite nice, lots of open areas. However no lock on dorm room door, and no safety locker for valuables. Witch was quite disturbing for me because I was traveling on my own. There where spiderwebs everywhere except the dorms and tents, they where clean. There was a possum in the kitchen, my guess would be that it wasn't the first...

Do not miss out on this incredible experience. Mick and Michelle the owners were absolutely fantastic. Extremely friendly, helpful, and not to mention very knowledgable with the area and the excursions. The place is a beautiful oasis filled with wildlife and furry little friendly creatures such as Josephine the kangaroo and the squealing little possums! Beach is a very short...

I came here straight after celebrating the New Year in Syndey & it was just what I needed after the chaos of city life. Mick and Michelle on the front desk were more than helpful and really make you feel welcome. Lovely people! I was booked in for 3 nights & extended my stay immediately to try out the tents...

I stayed here as part of an east coast road trip and was pleasantly surprised! At first I was a little wary about being in bush land (because I'm british and australia is full of deadly stuff), but Mike made me feel welcome and at ease within a few minutes. Fantastic location, great beaches, amazing set up and awesome rooms!...

Melaleuca is the perfect destination to escape city life. It's hard to believe that it's possible to find somewhere as tranquil, laid back and welcoming as here, all just three hours from the rush of city life in Sydney. Michelle and Mick - champions of community living and accommodating guests, will bend over backwards to help people and ensure that...
