Mac and his family created a great place out in the bush near nimbin. He worked on his dream for 34 years and it has it all, lots of self build building , vegie garden a pool ,a sauna and even a pottery! If you thinking of going "alternative" check this out but even if you just want a holiday... More

Our family of four(parentsx2, 18yo and 16yo) had a fabulous stay at this welcoming and peaceful location. It was well positioned nestled in the foothills - stars, wildlife, gardens, well appointed amenties and was a great launching pad to explore the area, do bushwalks etc. Hoping to come back to immerse in the craft programme soon. Thanks for the hospitality.... More

Down a winding track there lies paradise. A beautiful cottage equipt with all you need to relax. Beautiful home made pottery to use during your stay and a welcoming oil burner with your favourite scent on arrival. The Finnish sauna and dip in the pool is a perfect way to relax. The family are lovely and very helpful. What a... More

I loved this place set in nature. I would recommend it highly. Beautiful countryside and nature walks, bubbling creeks and wildlife abound. The cottage had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. Mac was a really friendly host and very helpful. I felt sad when it was time to leave and hope to return someday.

The owners were very pleasant and exceedingly helpful when we stupidly left something behind. The setting is idyllic, and the accommodation very comfortable. The pool is a very big plus. We were here for a week, and slept like logs. WiFi is fine ... from the corner of the verandah in line of sight of the owners' house.

Wow this place was nature at its best. Situated about 6 km past Nimbin in the hills at the base of rainforest by a running stream.. The location was a bonus for us as we wanted peace and privacy. The log cottage we stayed in was great, there's a big verandah out the front to enjoy the plants and wildlife.... More

With such a big world to discover it's difficult to return to the same place twice let alone three times. Black Sheep Farm made it very easy for my husband and I to return for our third time. Our cottage sat quietly in it's rainforest setting and was filled with quaint but comfortable furniture. All the crockery is handmade by... More

Come to Black Sheep Farm and experience the tranquility and serenity of Nimbin. We could have spent everyday just wandering around the property and admiring the beautiful wooden cottage. Make sure you ask for the sauna, it is a wonderful experience. Bring along some food and relax by the pool or the fire and don't leave without purchasing one of... More

We stayed one night in the Cottage. We agree with everything previously written about the graciousness of the hosts and the beauty of the place. Two small warnings. The "toilet" in the cottage is a "composting toilet," i.e., no water, a hole in the ground, and is on the porch of the cottage. It didn't smell much but had a... More

Being an eco friendly establishment we do understand that some have a reluctance to using new age composting toilet, and have decided to only offer our other Cottage from now on, which has a flush toilet. 9th Sept. 2014 More
