Great location near the local shops and coach station, local bus stop not far away either but everything in town is pretty compact, very comfortable bed, fairly decent TV, had all the other facilities I needed including kettle with tea and coffee, nice hot water in the shower, pretty satisfied. I didn't have much interaction with staff at all, nor did I hear any street noise for the 2 nights I was there, and I didn't use the pool as I went to the beach instead, so I can't comment much else on those.

Place is shabby and dirty, smoke alarm had no battery (so was inoperational which is illegal) and it was well-over-priced. And the incredibly unprofessional owner, sporting an offensive sexist t-shirt to match the highly offensive sexist and juvenile stickers on his ute parked right outside reception where you could not help but see them, could not care less. Could not even get decent night's sleep as his kids/friends, sitting outside smoking and coughing and yakking, kept us awake.

Stayed at the Merimbula Gardens overnight during a weeknight , Premises was generally pretty clean , rooms are basic but generally pretty clean. Walls are thin and ended up being a major problem for the evening. The motel was not full however the management decided to place everyone in the rooms side by side instead of spacing guests out throughout the entire motel complex. Unfortunately had a rather drug affected group of 3 persons inhabit the room next wo us whom stayed up all night long with the TV loud , slamming their door open and shut and yelling all night long. Got zero sleep , i know this isnt the fault of the motel management , however it should be pointed out the walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbours. Otherwise it was clean and close to town and had a view of the bay and ocean to the distance in the room we were in.

This was a very basic motel room which was comfortable and clean and was good value for the money paid. There is nowhere on site to eat so you have to go into Town, which is only a very short walk. The one tip I would give other potential guests is to ask for a room that is away from the main area as there is little, or no privacy unless you close the curtains, due to the other guests walking past the room. If you are not planning on staying long or paying too much, then this is an ideal place for a stopover.

Excellent value for money, budget motel but rooms are clean and managers were friendly and helpful. Close to shops, clubs and supermarket. Bed was comfortable, tea and coffee facilities and off street parking. You won’t getter better value than this in Merimbula.

If you are a trucker and want somewhere to lay your head for the night you would probably be happy! Very old and not looked after, stale smell in room, check in smelled of cigarette and the carpet was so dirty and stained wasn’t sure what to think. Room ... no words really!! Just glad we only had about 20 minutes in there then went out and only back straight to bed (but did sleep well), bathroom omg - shower no pressure and very temperamental... wouldn’t stay there again good luck

The light didn't work. The toilet cistern filled up every 6-8 minutes all day and night.Linen changes for the bed didn't happen . Didn't even remake the bed.Outside lights controlled by timers which were all set at different times making steps into rooms quite dangerous at night. When complaining about the room servicing were told that it wasn't going to be done at a room rate specified to us which was not what we paid . we had paid more. Very run down.Loved the wrecked boat parked at the entrance NOT.

Nice little motel near to everything in Merimbula. A budget motel but clean and with thoughtful touches like the breakfast bench. Great for a one night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower and loo adequate. Excellent value.

Is a good budget motel that probably needs some work on it but you get what you pay for. Bathroom appeared tired and old but functional and provided a good hot shower. Bed was comfortable but unfortunately the room walls are very thin so you hear what your neighbours are taking about and we were also unlucky to have a person next to our room who snored the whole night which didn’t make it for a pleasant night. Overall if looking for somewhere cheap and you are a heavy sleeper give the place a go, it just wasn’t for us.

New owners have just taken over the motel and it is obvious that the previous owners have let the place run down prior to selling. There was a stale smell as soon as we walked in the door. The curtains are thin, faded and held up by a piece of string. The doona cover was depressing. The bathroom fixtures were chipped and broken and the grout was falling out. Despite the small size and the run down atmosphere we had a great night’s sleep. The new owners are friendly and accommodating and with their energy and enthusiasm will have the place up to scratch in no time.
