We had an amazing time on Lord Howe and at Pinetrees. The food catering and the friendliness of the staff are second to none. Only tiny bit of criticism is that it's quite expensive if you take in consideration that the rooms itself are fairly ordinary and the location doesn't offer any views. Still highly recommended.

Stayed in the four bedroom cottage for an amazing week at Pinetrees in mid-March. The lodge managed to balance a kid-friendly atmosphere with sophisticated food and great accomodation. Staff were amazingly helpful arranging babysitting and tours, keeping us and our three kids (9, 5 and 18 months) plus extended family fully entertained (and exhausted!) despite a few days of wet...

We recently spent 7 nights staying at Pinetrees Lodge on Lord Howe Island. The Island itself is absolutely beautiful with lovely beaches, spectacular scenery, wonderful walks and interesting history. Pinetress is a great resort in the perfect central location opposite the lagoon, within easy bike access to all of the attractions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation...

We have just returned from Lord Howe and our stay at Pinetrees. The island is magnificent . It is pristine and totally unspoilt. Almost all tourists hire bikes which is a wonderful way to navigate the island. Pine trees exceeded expectations. Its simplicity is part of its charm. The food was consistently the best I have ever experienced - imaginative,...

First visited this precious island over 60 years ago and it is still the most beautiful holiday paradise and my favourite place in the World. Everyone should experience the unique Pinetrees Lodge at least once in their lifetime and the wonderful friendly atmosphere that generations of the Rourke Family have created for their guests who are treated like family. The...

A friend and I stayed at Pinetrees in February and what a pleasure it was. I stayed several years ago and thought it was wonderful but this time was even better. The quality of food, choice and presentation was superb, so fresh, with delicious combinations of flavours and textures. What a way to be spoilt! The accommodation and original guest...

Returning to Pinetrees for a holiday is just like visiting old friends who happen to be the best cooks in the world. Lord Howe Island is really a paradise and Pinetrees is situated beautifully on the lagoon. The accommodation is great, the staff exceptional and as stated the food "to die for". We will be returning for more.

Pinetrees was amazing. There is not many things that could top the location, Lord Howe is a place that can hold the mantle of 'unique', however the absolute 'icing on the cake' was staying at Pinetrees. The standard of accommodation, the service, the rich history, the tranquil setting was only outshone by food that could only be found in some...

We did not stay here at Pine-trees but treated ourselves to a dinner here one night during out 10 day stay. Well worth it and we got lucky as the night we booked in had a special canapés at the boatshed to watch the sunset pre-dinner as part of the package so worth asking when booking if they have any...
