Inevitably one always makes comparison when reviewing. Immediately after Banyan Apartments we stayed in a great apartment in Brisbane and then a fabulous cabin near Bellingen. Both were so much better in many different ways than Banyan Apartments I appreciate it must be difficult on LHI, however the apartment could have come across as less tired. We were also not...

On our last full day now after a fantastic week on the island. Banyan Apartments are centrally located up a bit of a hill with fresh cooling breezes. Very comfortable units in a garden setting. Modern flat screen TV with cable connection to all the usual Australian channels. Free wifi. Large flyscreened windows let in those cool breezes, not that...

Just returned from a weeks stay at Banyan Apartments. We were picked up from the airport by the new caretaker Greg, who gave us a short familiarization of the town before taking us to our accommodation. Great service. The accommodation consist of three cabins with two apartments in each. Each apartment having a common adjoining wall. This seems to be...

My friend and I stayed at the Banyan Apartments in March 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed our 8 nights there. Our hosts, Ron and Sue, did everything to make our stay enjoyable, and had the property looking lovely. The accommodation was simple, very clean and comfortable. There is also a TV for those inclined, but we were so tired out after...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Banyan for seven nights in total. We'd originally booked for six, but after we were offloaded from the plane (we work for Qantas and only fly if there are seats) we had to find last minute accommodation. Ron, Sue and the owner (I'm so sorry - the name escapes me but thank you!), were...

We just spent a fabulous week at Lord Howe staying at the Banyan Apartments. The Apartments could use a little bit of an upgrade but are comfortable and have what you need. They are set up for couples with studio style apartments and don't really cater for families which suited us empty nesters. The gardens are great with BBQ's and comfortable...

We returned from Lord Howe last Sunday 4 September having spent 7 days cycling walking and snorkelling on the island with friends. We stayed at the Broken Banyan apartments which were perfect for our needs since we could chose to cook at the apartments with our friends or go out to the many restaurants Ron and Sue (hosts) added to...

Just returned from a week on LHI staying at Banyan, location is excellent and hosts Ron and Sue are friendly and helpful. Across the road is the best setting you could find for a hairdresser and very happy with the cut. They are self catering rooms, but if you wish to dine out the hosts drop you at the restaurant...

Had a wonderful week on Lord Howe Island. Ron and Sue were excellent hosts and made our stay very easy. The units need some work spent on them by the current lease agent. Chairs are not very comfortable in lounge area and stuck together with tape. Bed is uncomfortable and hard. Otherwise facilities are great with self contained arrangements and...

The Banyan Apartments is a cluster of six units arranged in three groupings of two units. They are laid out in a way that affords privacy for each one in a well maintained garden setting. A well appointed barbeque is available for communal use as well as a separate laundry room and adjacent clothes line. A unique feature of the...
