We stayed here for 1 night recently and it was very good. Service was friendly and efficient and provided some local information. The room clean and comfortable, with good amenities. The location is a short drive from the centre of town and our room was nice and quiet.
The motel 617, is a short walk out if town but well worth it, great value for money, rooms excellent, clean, linen and towels good quality, shower room good, facilities good, microwave, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee supplied, staff very friendly and efficient, told all my Australian family about it and would highly recommend it.
A motel that has had a freshen up but roughly.. Had toaster and microwave which was great. although close to beach no pool and reception has limited hours. Office were excellent in making sure we had key code prior to our arrvial late afternoon.
We booked this place last minute and in the middle of school holidays, so we paid a little bit extra for it, which is understandable. The motel is located a short (walking) distance from beach and town, but far enough away that you aren’t in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The staff were friendly. The room we were in was a bit small and the bathroom could do with a bit of a renovation, however, it was clean and certainly liveable for the few days we stayed. Motel was clean, other than some dust on the exhaust fan in the bathroom. When the rooms were ‘made up’ for the day, they lacked detail. The bed was made but sheets still scrunched up underneath. The complimentary tea and coffee wasn’t replenished and the bathrooms not wiped over and floors not vacuumed. I accept these are minor, however, for the price we paid, I would expect this to be a standard daily clean. Nonetheless, when staff were approached for fresh towels or some more tea and coffee, they happily provided them. Free parking out the front of the rooms. Overall, good, reasonably tidy motel.…
Stayed 3 nights at the Motel, good price for Kiama as most places are rather expensive. Short walk to town and very easy to get to as well as is the blow hole, light house area. Great parking with plenty of room between parking bays. Very clean rooms and updated shower area. Would not hesitate to stay hear on my next visit.
Upon arrival the reception had lots of food options available for purchase if needed, which was a nice touch. Very friendly staff. The room was a decent size and clean. The bathroom was great, it had recently been renovated so was spotless with a good water pressure in the shower which is usually hard to come by in motels! A great location, within a short drive to any restaurants/cafes/attractions around Kiama. Great value for money for a short stay.
Nicely updated rooms with comfy bed. Quiet location yet close to all facilities with friendly staff. Small issue was lack of dishwashing detergent to clean dinnerware provided. It needed a good clean before use.
A wonderfully warm welcome on check-in from Kylie. She was brilliant and helpful - gave me the tip to visit the Little Blowhole (with directions) and we loved seeing it (actually better than the more famous and touristy one). Our room, 19, was great. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, great shower (good pressure and hot), a good range of tea, coffee and treats. Fresh milk was also available from reception. And good quality bathroom items - including a shower cap. Hairdryer and iron were also available - yeah. A great value for money place to stay.
Clean, warm and comfortable was our standard double room. We just needed an overnight stop en route to Sydney. The little extras of chocolates at reception, Tim Tams, shortbread and a variety of teas, coffee and hot chocolate in the room, were a nice touch.
My husband booked 2 rooms for our family at Motel 617 during our recent visit to NSW. Check in was easy and the location was quiet. The rooms had recently been updated with new carpet, fresh paint and modern headboard etc. The accommodation was fresh and super clean. I was very impressed. I would highly recommend Motel 617 for a budget friendly quick stopover in Kiama.
